I noticed this too, Do you think it will pre-condition if you are routing to a charger in CarPlay now?

I doubt it. I might be remembering incorrectly but when they announced Google Maps would get support for reading the battery SoC it was said they wouldn't get to control preconditioning. Except for trying to force people to pay for the Sync navigation subscription, there's no reason to not allow CarPlay and Android Auto to be allowed to request battery preconditioning. At least give us the option to manually start it like some other EVs do.

This is the response I got when I asked Ford. Apparently they dont recommend pre-conditioning the battery?

I understand that you are now available to see the distance to a Fast Charger on your instrument panel when using CarPlay navigation, CarPlay will not trigger the battery preconditioning, as it is not currently recommended to precondition at fast charging stations at this time. Although some public chargers do offer faster charging speeds, preconditioning your vehicle will not affect the rate that your vehicle will receive a charge.

Anyone with 2021 job 1 cars getting this now? I know late last year a few job 1 cars got updates beyond 6.8.0 and then looks like everything paused. I ask as I have job 1 2021 and no updates after 6.8.0 other than regular priority updates

Yeah unfortunately this seems to remain true.

I do now see the miles-to-destination IPC display when using Apple Maps in CarPlay. But I tried setting a variety of different fast charging destinations, and the IPC icon does not change to reflect that you are routing to a charger (as it would for the native Ford navigation). Not a scientific test, but it does not appear that specific charger destination info is being passed to the car that would trigger preconditioning.

Yeah unfortunately this seems to remain true.

I do now see the miles-to-destination IPC display when using Apple Maps in CarPlay. I have heard this is actually a limitation on Apple's side of things.

I have a 21 Job 1 in EA and latest I got was 6.4.0.

Just got 6.14.0, no notification.. Reason I knew this morning I got an update is the mirrors were not folded in.

All of the latest round of updates for me just completely ignored my update schedule settings. Ford basically said you’re gonna take this update now and you’re gonna like it.

All of the latest round of updates for me just completely ignored my update schedule settings. Ford basically said you’re gonna take this update now and you’re gonna like it.

The update schedule is only for inhibit updates.

My wife drove the car first after the update. walking to the car and seeing the mirrors I knew and update came in....

Mine locked up with a white screen did a reset and it worked. No notification it just installed mid day.

This update seems to make it so if you have lane keeping off, but activate cruise control, it'll automatically turn on lane keeping, thus allowing BCHF to activate. I was thinking this would be nice if they ever recenter the spedo with lane keeping off, but when you deactivate CC, it doesn't also remember that you had lane keeping deactivated, so you'd still have to turn it off everytime. Still one less button press, but would be nice if it remembered.

Anyone else lose PAAK after this update? I don't know if I lost PAAK due to this update or the FordPass update. Nothing else has changed with my phone. I had a rough go with PAAK but it's been great for the past several months until about two days ago. Tried resetting and adding it back but couldn't get a new key to download to FordPass properly. Had to reinstall FordPass, waited for the car to shut down, reset keys again, added a key and do another phone restart to get it to connect to Bluetooth. Can't image most consumers would be this persistent. Hopefully just a random issue happening to me.
