Update: According to Ford chat, my car is at the "hand-off" rail yard in Laredo, waiting to be loaded on to a train bound for Kansas City. Estimated delivery date to my dealer in the upper Midwest: 7/23/22-7/29/22. They should have updated railcar information as soon as the car is loaded on a northbound train.

This corresponds to the information provided by @FamDocDon. Our cars were built on 6/30/22, 14 units apart in batch 6739. Probably on the same train!
Mine was built 7/02 with estimated delivery date 8/15-8/21 but still no rail car info online or with Ford chat.
From what I've seen here, it appears the Cuautitlan Plant loads a train with cars from several batches before dispatching it to Laredo. So your car is probably on a train waiting for another batch to load later this week...
Probably right with the long delivery estimate.

It seems that most of our cars that were built on the same day are staying together for their journey north, at least as far as Kansas City!

Mine didn't ship until 7/5 but the delivery date still says 7/22 - 7/28. We shall see. I'm hoping that being relatively close to Kansas City will help expedite shipping. I'm nervous to even ask in ford chat about the shipping status. "hmmm looks like your car is an anomaly. It seems as though it fell off the train and is currently being driven as a taxi in Mexico City"

I got my railcar number by chatting with Ford support. Followed directions in "Trackers" for checking with CSX, but car location hasn't been updated since December.

I am in the same boat. I'm AOK 501599. My railcar has not been updated since March.

My dealer said the car was in Laredo and Ford chat told me railcar # KCS 008325 with an ETA of 8/9. I live in TX.

Gives a whole new meaning to “The Streets of Laredo.”

Good news - Your are heading WEST - 6 more days will be in LA
I checked the map, and it looks as if Taylor, TX is nearly 300 miles northeast of Laredo. So our cars are actually heading away from California!

But the good news is that the rail line passing through Taylor heads straight north towards Kansas City, next stop on the MME Express...!

Does anyone one know what happens after KC? Does it go on a different train or do they get put on trucks?

It depends on where the car is going. Generally, if your dealer is close to KC, they'll load it on a truck. If the destination is far away, it goes on another train.

My car is headed to what is probably the most remote Ford dealer in the lower 48 states! So from KC, the car will be loaded on another train to a Burlington Northern depot in western Minnesota. There it will be loaded on a truck for the 400 mile journey west to my dealer.

The dealer warned me not to assume that trains are always faster than trucks. They used to get all their cars from a nearby train depot. But since Ford switched to a train/truck route, deliveries have been faster. Go figure!

After following the journey of our cars from Cuautitlan to their ultimate destinations and seeing all the rail and truck transfers, I'm beginning to think Ford's $1,100 "destination and delivery" fee is quite reasonable!

Well, thought I was safe and locked after a prior push, but now with a 6/27 build week (orig 6/6). Anyone else?
Are you guys getting email updates from your dealer about your build dates? I was told by my dealer that my build was starting almost a month and a half ago , but I have no updates not even my vin number... Very discouraging

Welcome to the forum! I'd suggest calling your dealer back and asking them for the VIN number of your car. If your car has been built or is about to go into production, they'll be able to get you the VIN and the order number off the window sticker. Ask them to send you the window sticker.

Once you have that, you can track your car's progress in a couple of ways articulated in this thread. Good luck!
