Good question. Someone in KC would, I guess, have the best chance to be first - or someone in Laredo...?

I'm in Saint Louis, built 9/14 and my delivery estimate is still reading 9/30-10/6.

Looking forward to seeing the fireworks on this forum once they start being delivered!

i doubt its me - someone in the midwest on our same train likely gets theirs before mine. Mine still has ways to go to get over the New Jersey

Checked with Kansas City Southern - My railcar reached Kansas City yesterday. @Bigfeets - sounds like we are getting close!

I went back to chat asking again for railcar number. After many minutes waiting while they searched, they came back with a railcar number. Sadly, I've found "no information" on its whereabouts. (Last night, I watched the live Virtual Railfan camera at the Santa Fe Junction. I just happened to see a westbound train composed entirely of autorack traincars headed possibly toward the BNSF Argentine yard, 77 autorack cars possibly as many as 1700 cars within. Just guessing. The autoracks are fully enclosed so contents aren't really apparent, nor do I know how many cars of whatever type might be carried, perhaps 22. But it would seem that a single train can carry almost a week's worth of MME production. I also don't know if MMEs come out of Mexico on unit trains, all one type of railcar/commodity or mixed.) I also don't know if MMEs are taken off their railcar at KCS intermodal Richards-Gebaur, trucked to appropriate railyard and put on another autorack. Norfolk Southern has an intermodal yard a few miles across the Missouri R. from the KCS yard. What's done with our individual MME units will likely be revealed once we get a look at the VVR from Chat or dealer. I'm curious to see if your railcar "connection" keeps working. In theory, if the whole railcar load is going to the same region, they wouldn't unload it at a waypoint, just sort the railcar into the right train, hopefully NOT taking 3 weeks to do so.

Anyway, my delivery ETA was 25-32 days from the estimated "shipped date". Apparently, it's taken 5 days to Laredo border crossing and 5 more days to Kansas City. This would leave 13-20 days to travel the remaining ~1600 miles to SCal and still make the delivery ETA. (It's about 1200 miles KC to Newark.) It seems possible that they could deliver our units to the dealers within the estimated week, but only if there's no multiweek layover at a transfer point. Cynicism keeps creeping in.

A few ways:. You can ask your dealer. They have access to something called a vehicle visibility report that will tell them where the car is. You can also speak with Ford via the chat function in their website.

All cars that are built at the plant in Mexico are loaded onto Kansas City Southern trains at the railyard in Lecheria mexico. They ride on this train to Kansas City, MO. Once there they are sorted onto other options in order to reach their final destination.

Ford gave me Rail Car #008108 on Kansas City Southern. I called KCS c/s at 800-468-6527, option 2 for the location update. I had to tell her the railcar was coming from Ford.

I think I may win the award for slowest delivery...anyone else still showing "in production" such as myself? Modules are at 1030 for Prem AWD ER.... but has been that way for about a week now.

For me since modules showed up took 5 days to show as built and 3 more for shipping. Good luck

Car reached Kansas City on 9/27, said it is sitting at 6R. I have RC6R on my window sticker but nothing else showing. Wondering if it stays on the rail car and gets lumped with the next group heading north?

RC6R for me, also. Chat just told me I'm in Kansas City, too! Railcar # KCS 008372. Since I'm only 300 miles from there I'm assuming it will get on a truck. Going to see if the dealership has any insight tomorrow.
