9/12/22 Build Week Chat

For past week, Chat has told me that my MME order is waiting at Richards-Gebaur, Missouri for its ride to California. That location report is dated 9/27. Twelve days later, there is no update. Today's chat contact was very slow to give me any information. Must have been a Sunday trainee. The delivery ETA on my Ford.com account hasn't changed: 9/9 to 9/15. (Yep, today is 9/9.) It would be good news to see my MME order moved over to Argentine yard (BNSF, Muncie Kansas.) Today is also day-306 (~44 weeks) of waiting for delivery of my MME order.

If you’re in SoCal wouldn’t you be going through UP? I haven't checked with Ford in a while but my mine was last seen at the UP yard in Muncie on the 4th of October. If I remember your other posts correctly our dealers are only miles away from each other.

I think the information received from chat is very confusing. I think Spectre said his moved already from Argentine (I hope mine is with his) but your car was build and shipped earlier and an earlier window delivery. Maybe the person yesterday didn't know how to look? I have not chat in a few days but my delivery hasta changed from the 10/20-10/26

My SoCal dealer (Galpin) called me on Saturday and told me my car is on its way to Mira Loma. My last Ford update had 10/10-10/16 (a few weeks old) and dealer said the date is 10/17 now. He said most of the cars get out of Mira Loma without much delay. He said Lightnings tend to get hung up there for whatever reason, but the MMEs typically arrive as schedule.

Getting very excited over here! Hope this is the same situation for the rest of the SoCal crew.

Hang in there! My last known location was Ramp 6P, Kansas City, MO. It WAS in ramp 6R at Richards-Gebaur, MO. I guess it's just waiting on a train. Ordered 11/30/21 and estimated delivery is 10/31 to 11/6/22. Almost a year!

For sure! Hang in there has been our motto for months, right? (To my knowledge, BNSF-Argentine yard is 6M, UP-Muncie, KS yard is 6U, and KCS-Richards-Gebaur yard is 6R. I think 6P is Norfolk Southern yard in KC. NS railcar tracing is pretty good I hear, if you can get a railcar number from Chat or dealer. There's also a Jack Cooper Transit terminal in KC which may have its Ford code, too. Since I can't get updates or rail car number, I'm hoping to be surprised by dealer call in a day or two that my MME order is ARRIVED, even though Chat says it's sitting in KC.

Yes, to California, UP or BNSF if by rail, Jack Cooper Transport if by truck. I'm feeling no joy with Ford's tracing updates, since they're almost 2 weeks behind and I'm two days into my delivery ETA window. For a while, I watched the Virtual Railfan live camera at the Barstow Yard (BNSF facility but UP passes through here too.) Back in August BNSF embargoed the automobile carriers due to clogging but lifted it in September. Doesn't look that busy now.

Day 5 for my car sitting in the Newark rail yard awaiting last mile delivery to dealer...there is only 30 miles separating those two points!!

Got this update from Ford Chat today. Car was marked shipped two weeks ago. I’m guessing that “ Internati” might be a transfer point but I don’t see it on a map.

Was just kidding about that. I always get the same response from chat reps. It's like your IT department telling you to clear your cache and reboot.

If either of those actions were useful, you wouldn't be contacting them in the first place!
