Home sweet home!

Smooth sailing at Walnut Creek Ford. Took about 3 hours to do the paperwork but that was mostly due to my insurance company dropping the ball.

They gave me the X plan pricing, even though I didn’t order with a PIN, price protection back to 12/7/21, and Ford Options with a $2500 rebate. No hassles or issues. Best car buying experience I’ve probably ever had

He did tell me they removed 2 chips, one for the rear lift gate foot sensor and one for park assist. I’ll prob add the park assist later when and if I can. For the rear lift gate, I thought someone here said it’s just disabled and it can be enabled? I’ll have to dig through the thread.

Anyways, Hope everyone gets theirs soon!

Ya in my car the module was installed for hands free liftgate, so I just used forscan to enable. Find my post from earlier - instructions are there. They probably just dont know the module is still installed from the factory, and I doubt the dealer went in there and took out the module.
yup, found it last night and will order the suggested connector to do it. Thanks!!

Thanks!

The issue was that I emailed insurance 2-3 days ahead of time with VIN and info for the new car. They kept saying “just tell us when you actually have the car.” So I thought I was being proactive, but when I called them when at the dealer yesterday requesting the declaration of insurance, they had to scramble to put it together and it took an extra hour. Without that, I could not drive the car off the lot

Interesting I didn't think the dealership would be that stringent on having dec of insurance to hand over the car. I would assume if you already had insurance and made the call to have it added to your plan it would have been sufficient. I guess I will have to think of a way to get ahead of this cuz there is no way Im sitting at a dealership for 3 hours due to insurance.

Ok I'm usually not a huge fan of white cars, but this with the light grey interior looks fantastic! Enjoy the ride! She's very pretty.
I was very skeptical of the color combo after I ordered it, but I'm very happy with the choice. Looks pretty slick!

Agreed.. at least with my purchase here in NC I had to sign a document stating that the dealership would NOT be contacting my insurance company for me to transfer my insurance. Every other car purchase I've ever made in my life this was done by the dealers. So I had to go out in the lobby after I signed all the papers to call them myself. ?‍♂ I thought it very odd, but they would have let me driven away no questions asked after signing that document.

Maybe it's a CA thing? I remember when I helped my mom get a Honda 6 months ago it was the same deal. She bought the car, but insurance couldn't get the dealer the dec. of insurance till the next day, so it had to sit on the lot until they had it.

Interesting. I also call my insurance and told me I needed to have the car in possession, but I was able to get out of the dealership with the car just with the old insurance. They told me I had 30 days to do it.
By the way, I was expecting my I sruance to go up with the new car, but not as much! They asked me 1600$ per year (500$ deductible). I guess California is really expensive What about yours? I am getting other quotes to see if I should change ...

Mine is $1150/year with a $500 collision deduct/$100 comprehensive deduct. I'm with State Farm, but I've also been with them for like 15 years, so I get quite a large discount

Thanks. I have AAA for 15 years and it was always quite competitive until now. I just got back a quote from another company for 1400 ...

Yeah, $1600 seems pretty steep for such a loyal customer

Day 324 of waiting for my ordered MME to show up (ordered 12/7/21, built 9/13/22). No trace update since 9/27 (Missouri). 43 Days in "shipped" status, so far. I emailed the dealer requesting update from new Ford tracing system, VIN View, said to have been initiated 10/25. No response, so far. (I also asked how many folks were waitlisted to buy my MME order in the many weeks it's been shown on their online inventory. Don't expect them to answer that.)

10/28 edit: I looked at 2022MY inventory on Ford.com for Orange County, CA. There were a dozen MME listed at 5 different dealers. "My" dealer had two but neither was my VIN. (The two that Ford.com showed were not the two that the dealer's web page showed.) Go figure. What was interesting to me was that another dealer about 10 miles away showed 9 MME and one, just arrived, was built the same week as my order and had a VIN just 200 units higher than my MME order. This seems to reaffirm that "my" dealer is one of those low allocation/low priority ones, eh?

I'm very sorry Bigfeets... It's gotta be frustrating. The crazy thing is my car showed up today and I got this picture from the dealer. Got to SLC and was trucked up here in one day, super shocked. Gonna pick her up Monday.

Sorry to hear that too. I finally got some solid information - my “white out” edition Premium Awd, ER finally made it to ramp G2 in Wilmington, DE. It’s only 1 hour from my house!!. Hoping the dealer has a at least a truck load of cars coming so they can load it up.
ordered Dec 10.
Hopefully pics next week

Picked mine up on Thursday. I've been too busy to take any pictures, but will do this weekend. Loving it so far! My dealer has been fantastic! No pressure and have been great trying to get Options to work on their end. They are still working on getting their system updated and I will go in on Monday to finish the paperwork. I don't think I'll be truly happy until @Bigfeets get his. I'm rooting for you!
