Got to dealership on Monday, “short staffed” so couldn’t take delivery until today. I have this bad habit of buying cars in the rain. Oh well I guess I need to change my profile name soon. No longer waiting Az doesn’t have the same ring to it ? appreciate everyone’s help and support, hope everyone gets theirs soon!

Good news for me today. I texted my dealer again after the last VinView update was Ramp 6M in Argentine, KS on 10/28, and they confirmed that it’s now in Colorado (destination state)! Just a hundred miles or so to go, then wait for a truck. I’m hoping I’ll get it well before the newly estimated 12/10 date now. For some reason, even though I was signed up on VinView, I have gotten no texts other than the initial signup confirmation.

Finally got mine ! I'm overwhelmed - lol . Was a bit surprised that Fordpass had to be setup on the phone and then bluetooth was a separate connection for Android auto/etc - I thought once would be enough - minor thing. So much to learn but I'm excited


I'm wondering if it'll be a good idea to have a chat group (whatsapp/telegram) of new owners so we can ask basic questions/suggestions from each other and get quick response - lf there's interest , let me know and I can create it.

Small update from me today - the Mach E was finally moved from Melvindale, MI to the dealership in Plymouth, MI. I was watching the map update the little truck icon along the route while it made the 25 mile trip, and it arrived just a few minutes ago. Today I also spent some time chatting financing (going Ford Options 48 months with the 2.49% rate and $1000 incentive) and potential trade in (doesn't make sense based on private sale quotes in my case).

They should be prepping and charging the car so I can pick it up tomorrow. Looking forward to posting some pics!

Update from Ford chat yesterday is that it is still sitting on Ramp 6R (27 days and counting), and just logged into Ford and now I am seeing a 1 month push on my delivery date: 12/3/2022 - 12/9/2022. Boooooooo.

? That stinks. I was talking with the finance manager yesterday. He said that there was some embargo on trains to CA and that if some of the cars coming west that are on the same car can be delayed also. Don't know if he was telling the truth or not but makes sense why there have been more deliveries east of KC than west if yours is on the same rail car.

The only information I can see regarding an embargo was the one that started late June, but ended September 4.

I can only assume that once the embargo ended, and the floodgates opened, that it would take some time to ship the California backlog.

I wish that instead of a ##/##/## Build Week Chat groups, there was a "California Owner Build Chat Group' that started prior and during the embargo. I'm sure people posting in that group has the most delays.

Ok, so after a week of ownership, 2 days of which were in a parking garage, question for other early receivers, anyone get any OTA's? I know my SYNC version is definitely behind the latest and greatest, even though car says system is up to date. Any points of reference how soon the OTA's start flowing to the car? I know the dealership said they typically do not do the manual FDRS install method, but do I need to pressure them into doing it if possible?
