Yup very legal for us responding from home. Most days I’m at the station but plenty of times I’m not and they need extra, multiple box alarm type situations.

Yes, volunteer FFs trying to get to the station can have them. They can also have a siren. They can only use them while responding to a fire call. I think they still have to follow traffic rules while responding though (stopping at stop lights, etc).
