It's a GT/GTPE only thing if I'm not mistaken. (Which I'm sure someone will correct me if im wrong)

Yup, GT only. It exists so that we can clearly see how much power we are being locked out of at (effectively) all times.

So odd that it's GT/PE only. Grey bars, I get, but why not have the regen meter for everyone?

If you’re slowing down or going downhill, you’re regening. If you’re going uphill or accelerating, you’re using more energy than a steady speed on a flat surface.

The meters many want don’t really give any useful information.

The mi/kWh meter already tells the driver if they are driving in an efficient manner or not.

More visualizations are just more distractions for the driver.

Like you say, they don't give any really useful information. They are just gimmicks to make you think you are getting value for money or something for nothing. A display to say how fast we are charging and how much ( kw/h and NOT %) we are putting in the car would be far more useful.

That should be a decision for the driver. Our 2018 Fusion Energi had more choices to show regen than the Mach-E.

The charging rate only comes into play with L1 or L2 charging since every DCFC I have visited tells you the charging rate and kWh added while charging.

For L1 and L2, your home charging rate should be known so it is just when charging not at home that a rate might be helpful. Even then I question just how helpful.

It seems like it was a design decision. The MME is the electric car for people who don't know electric. Electric car features with the familiar interface of an ICE. A Tesla with a start button, a gear shift, and some hard buttons.
