AC turns on automatically?

I recently noticed if the external temp is above 50 degrees F or so my AC kicks on automatically when I start the car.

Does anyone know if this is a setting I can change?

My settings are on 73 when I shut the car off. I live in Michigan and the mornings are cold. In the afternoon when I start the car it flips on the AC. It must think the internal cabin temp is above 73.

AC is often used for dehumidification, not necessarily for temperature.

No. Just let it do its thing. A/C can turn on anytime it’s above 32°F if the cabin gets too humid.

If you don’t use “Auto” and don’t have air directed to the windshield, the AC won’t turn on. I think.

It's happened to me before also. That's why I couldn't wait for the AC indicator to show up on the center screen instead of in the menu. Id drive and notice my range was down and then sure enough the AC kicked on . At least now I know it quicker . I would like them to maybe change that to AC/HEAT indicator though . Maybe a simple orange(heat)/blue(AC) arrangement like on Nest thermostats
