2021 Extended Premium AWD. We recently received the Blue Cruise update that does hands free lane changes. However the Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) stopped changing speeds based. It became like regular CC. After visiting with OTA guide I was directed to my dealer. The dealer fix the issue, no charge. The stray thing was that the 2025 loaner we were give of the exact model had the same problem. After testing it I did discovered the change Ford made in the ACC. I remember in my drivers training class the instructor saying that when we approached a speed limit sign that reduced our speed, we were to be at the new lower speed when we reached the sign. As a frequent user of ACC, I always thought it was strange that the ACC actually started to reduce the speed when actually passing the sign. As you can see from the image, there is now a second, smaller speed limit sign below the original sign that tells what the ext sign will say and the car immediately states to slow in an effort to be at that speed as you pass the sign. The dealer did not tell me what was done to fix the issue. Also BC lane change is an added level of safety, helping avoid blind spot problems.
