To be clear, the price I mentioned included Destination charge of $1,800. So for an apples to apples comparison, it is still a chunk less than the 2024 model. Note also that the zero percent financing is only available for the 2023 verion - that is a huge cost differentiator vs the 2024.That's a terrible price. The 2024 extended range AWD Premium has an MSRP of $49,995. Your 2023 (when you go to sell at some point in the future) will be one year older and sell at a discount to an equivalent 2024. That needs to be reflected in the price you get today.
Good points. Ford values the 0% financing at $3,000 because that's what they'll give you in lieu of 0% financing. So $3,000 + $1,800, almost $5,000, is a decent chunk of change. I still think it should be more heavily discounted than that, but it's not as badly priced as I first thought. To be clear, the price I mentioned included Destination charge of $1,800. This isn't your typical either/or rebate/finance rate program. You get both. Using a hypothetical 6% rate, which is hard/impossible to find these days, the Ford rate is worth nearly $10k on a $50k loan.Good points.
