2023 Mach E Premium Extended Range RWD (Night Pony)
Hello everyone,

I currently own a ‘23 Mach-E Premium and have been feeling pretty frustrated with the bumpy ride. I keep hearing great things about the MagneRide suspension on the GT. I’ve also heard the Rally offers the best ride quality, but I just can’t get past its “boy racer” look.

I was genuinely excited about upgrading to a ‘25 GT, especially with the addition of a heat pump—definitely useful here in Canada. But finding out the GT doesn’t have ventilated seats really put me off. Now I’m thinking of holding out for the ‘26 model, hoping Ford adds them. Fingers crossed.

For anyone who’s upgraded from Premium to GT: Do you truly notice a big difference in ride quality?

And I know it’s still early, but does anyone know if Ford is planning to add ventilated seats on the ‘26 GTs?

Yes. Massive difference between 22 premium AWD er and 24 GT with performance upgrade and Pirellis. The ride was even more comfortable when I had Continentals that came with it. But handling with the Pirellis is like magic, as is handling with my winter Michelin x-ice. Best of both worlds.

The best part is not the magneride suspension (which is a massive upgrade). It’s the seats which is an even more massive upgrade (if there is such a thing).

The GT is the only way to go if you don’t mind paying a bit extra. The car feels way lighter although in reality it is heavier. It is way quicker and more fun to drive.

Oh, and you do not need ventilated seats. Trust me on that. Just go get the 25 GT and enjoy the fuck out of it.

OR, you can get the Rally which rides even better than the GT (softer springs and still has Magneride) and change out that boy-racer rear spoiler for the one that comes on every other Mach-E. It would cost you $1060 (new) but if you are looking for the smoothest riding NEW Mach-E, that is the way to go.

You can also change out the springs on your current car with OEM Rally springs and at the same time would recommend Eibach front and rear anti-sway bars. Both will smooth out the ride and even more so than a GT with Magneride. Throw on some taller tires with a 111 load rating so you can run them at 30 psi and you have yourself a completely different car. I have done this on three Mach-E's and doing a fourth a week from today. Several others here have done this and posted their extreme satisfaction. Total for parts $790, labor is all over the map. Have seen people get it done for as little as $700 and as high as $1800. Then you have to get an alignment ($130). The average total is usually $2000. That does not include new tires if you want to finish it off.

After 3 years of ownership, I traded in my '21 Premium for a '24 GT and although the added power is nice, the MagneRide is what really makes it worth it. Got tired of the pogo-stick rear suspension. Try to schedule a test drive if you can.

I upgraded from a 2021 First Edition to a 2025 GT and find NO improvement in the ride. Is there something I need to turn on to see a ride improvement? I am in Whisper mode.

Wish I can order a '25 but looks like that closed up.

Looking at a '25 Rally myself but the on lot colors are all hideous!

Not whisper mode in a GT. That's a sin in itself

Yep, Unbridled is already too soft. ?‍♂?
I think you and I are the only ones that want a much firmer unbridle mode. It’s way too soft for being a “sport” setting. On my Focus RS and ICE Mustangs when you choose sport mode, it is at least three times as firm as Unbridle and when you choose Track mode, the car corners like it's on rails. Absolutely nothing like the floaty boat motions of the Mach-E.

I was toying with my previous GTPE removing the Magneride shocks and replace them with Koni Sport adjustable shocks to tune the firmness the way I want it but never did. I may just do it with this one if I get bored at some point.

Are you sure the order bank is closed? I just read a post, in another thread, that Granger Ford is offering 7% below MSRP for orders.

I have 24 Premium and feel the same way about the harsh ride. Debating doing the springs and sway bars like Mark Boris mentioned or trading up to a Rally. I also should have 480 horsepower just in case.

FWIW you can order a Rally without the stripes and without the giant door graphics. Then change out the spoiler like Mark also mentioned above. Then you'll basically have a Premium with a better ride, better seats, and 480 horsepower. Call it the Premium Performance Edition. (The Rally does not have a GT badge on the back just the pony)

If you find a Rally on the lot, I believe the stripes and graphics come off easily with a heat gun, like the regular Mustang GTs the stripes are vinyl not painted.

When I get the Rally - sooner or later, I will remove graphics and change out the rear spoiler. Since buying this car I've only thought of getting the GT or Rally. I've never regretted how good it looks and haven't looked at other cars on the road and thought I should have gotten that one instead.

I have a 23 MME GT. My dealer advised to ALWAYS use premium electricity so to avoid knocks and pings??

Enjoy the ride
