Anyone experiencing similar?

I’ve been able to rule out the home charger.

Someone at Ford (after 10 plus transfers) did vaguely acknowledge this but wasn’t able to provide details or a fix.

Reconciling Car vs App vs Charger setting ultimately did not resolve.

Very helpful thanks. The memo describes my experience precisely.

I do have a’21. But never experienced this issue until recently.
Will definitely follow up.

thanks again

There was this random TSB a while back, Not sure if this is what you are dealing with but worth throwing out there.

Took MME to dealership. Their MME specialist reports the charging port needs to be replaced. Said current one has too much resistance for level 2 charges. Onset of that symptom is still unclear to me. A Expedited replacement charge port from Detroit due in a few days.

Claims the problem is a different TSP entirely.
But everything is covered by warranty, so that’s great.

It’s still difficult for me to wrap my head around the concept that it’s a hardware issue and not a software issue, as I was able to successfully L2 charge at a friends house and an EVgo station.

I have a '21 as well and also had the charge port replaced for the exact same reason about a year ago. For me, the resistance would only be great enough to trip the thermal protection when charging above 32A. Anything below that and it was fine. I was able to confirm this myself by using an OBDII logger to monitor temperatures of the charge port while charging at different amperages.

Thankfully, I haven't had any more charging issues since that replacement.

I gave the above to my service rep. I now have a new appt and a loaner so they can take the car back and do a proper check

thanks for this

So helpful. Thanks.
Any ideas what actually causes this? It’s been charging fine at home until now.
