So I have a 2024 GTPE with about 13k miles on it. Today on the way home all was well and then it seemed like the AC just quit cooling or blowing. I keep it on auto 72 most all the time. I felt at the dash vents and there was barely anything coming out. I messed around and turned it to LO and it seemed to blow a bit harder with cold air. Any known issues with the AC? I have to take it to the dealer for the last recall but I hope the air conditioner hasn’t already gone bad.

My ā€˜24 does something similar. Every once in a while it seems like it just stops air conditioning. I can feel the humidity and temperature start to rise. It doesn’t seem to want to correct itself either. My solution, like yours, is to select max a/c. After a few minutes of that I can go back to auto and it will work fine again.šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø

My guess it is either because the battery pack got too warm and it had to divert some cooling for it, or you had a glitch with your phone (such as making a phone call or talking to Siri) which causes the blower speed to reduce for noise reasons. In some cases, the blower speed doesn’t restore after Siri or the phone call has ended.

Once I had a similar issue and it took a few minutes but I noticed that the AC button had been turned off. Neither my wife nor I had touched the screen so I just chalked it up to gremlins. Turned the button on again and it has not recurred.
