Android Ford App issue

Had the same issue where had to sign-in everytime on version 6.16.0. Had to uninstall/reinstall from Google store and it installed version 6.15.0 and it fixed the sign-in issue. I also cleared cache and data before the uninstall to no success.

If this works, @Babbit should get the FIFA Peace Prize presented at the close of the World Cup!
Google makes it so hard to check the app version on the store if it is already installed. Booted up an older phone, and, sure enough, they have 6.15.0 as the version on the play store. Ford must have had the new version up for a bit and then downgraded it on the sly, sne^ky b^st^rds
So, for the 2nd time in a month, I removed and reinstalled and am finally back to 6.15.0
Would have been nice if Ford put a PSA on its site, or on the app store to say there is a downgrade, what say you, @Ford Motor Company ?

Yes.. the Ford app is randomly requiring a sign in. Perhaps one time per day. Started about a week ago. I've got both a 2023 and a 2025 Premium models. I use the PAAK on the 2025, and my wife drives the 2023. But when I sign in, it's the 2023 that the app opens into.
I've also tried restarting the phone (Samsung S25U), but Ford Pass still requires me to log in.

PAAK failed in the Costco parking lot this afternoon. The app froze upon opening.
I didn't want to mess with it, so I used the door code and ignition code to get home.
It's working fine right now.

App update seems to have fixed the problems. All is well now.

(The current version uses a totally different method of getting the data than the old fordpass integration did by the way)

I've finally set it up - now I can retain a record of live monitoring for the 12V battery without any OBD2 scanner connected to the car.

...Also simple to add to an existing automation to force start the car to charge (when out of schedule) at home to my OCCP EV Charger - already with a Home Assistant automation programmed to adjust the amperage based on excess PV production in relation to existing house demand loads.

...Plus, I can now write an automation to set the remote start car interior temperature to reflect the outdoor temp regardless of where the car is parked - or who is driving. Why waste battery power from the climate control if the memory-locked temperature preset is excessively too low or to high relative to the ambient air temp? Now, via Home Assistant the car will automatically set to 24° if the air temp is 24 or above, or to lower temps through to 17° for a winter temp.

That's the beta I am on, 2hrs working fine for now.

Funny thing is even though my phone was looking logged out paak worked fine, that's over the last few weeks.

I just noticed the problem happens when I'm charging my car at the house. Apps been working last w days. I go and plug in the car then go check the app to see when charging will be done. I open the app and it's stuck on give feedback. Will not let me do anything. Now I will have force app to stop again. Which I just did and for now it works.

You should be able to update the app in Play Store, new one just came out this morning...

Mine is still working great all day, and my car is charging now, no app issues.

My Lixel 8 has has Android 17 for a month. I had huge issues earlier this week, then update to 6.16.1 fixed it.

The most recent update returned me being logged out every day or so and requiring to log back in.

Considering that I intentionally use scrambled eggs passwords for every single account, everywhere, this forces me to open my password manager app to use the Ford app, sometimes multiple times a day.

Ford has removed the Mal-functioning version. And released a new Corrected one day before yesterday (8 July 2026). Check the Play Store for an update...
