I'm shopping Mach-E cars on the used market. Mostly 2023-25... but occasionally 21s and 22s are popping up. I previously had a '25 Lightning briefly. Is there any good reason to avoid older models? I'm seeing a lot of '23s for sale... probably lease returns.

The 21-22 are loaded with stuff that you can't get on the 23+ - decontenting...
23s are a wave of 3 year lease returns, more likely to be picked up by mainstream dealers.
Earlier are now general population used cars (I'm keeping my eye out for a lower mileage creampuff)...

What makes you think a Mach-E will fit your needs that a Lightning did not?

Because I have a Ram 2500 with a diesel engine now. :)

The Lightning provided MISERABLE towing range, so I ditched it after only 6 months.

Now I'm looking for a daily driver, as diesel prices continue to rise and it doesn't make sense to drive the truck daily. An EV is going to get the nod....but the question is which one.

I'm leaning Mach-E mainly because it would be a smooth transition. It has the same infotainment system, same charger/port onboard, etc.

Size matters, in this case, for a DD, the size of the Mach-E easily beats the Lightning... 😁
