Wanted to see if anyone has had an interlock installed on their mustang? I have two Ev’s and seems like the mustang may be easier because it has a start button.

Every EV has an interlock system.

Breaking the interlock circuit interrupts the HV supply.

For what reason?
DUI / DWI - usually it’s because a judge ordered them to install one to be able to drive after an alcohol conviction.

It’s a separate dmv thing here. The case was dropped but because I didn’t give consent they give a restricted license for a period of time.

There's an option in FDRS for an interlock, so yes it's possible. The company installing it should know what to do.

So by not giving consent you basically end up consenting any time you want to drive?

Dealing with interlock stuff is such a headache regardless of what car you put it in, though props for trying to figure out the Mach E button setup first.

Honestly, the hardware installation is only half the battle. The real nightmare is making sure all the court and DMV paperwork lines up so you don't accidentally violate probation over a reporting glitch.

If anyone's ever stuck drowning in the legal side of things locally, working with someone like Indianapolis OWI attorney Stan Wruble takes a massive weight off your shoulders. Trying to DIY the legal requirements or figure out state compliance on your own is a recipe for disaster.

Definitely get professional help with the paperwork side if your state makes the interlock probation rules strict.
