If this was near Milwaukee, they're probably afraid of it being stolen by Kia Boys. Problem is, the boys are too dumb to realize it's a newer car with an immobilizer. They literally break into any Kia/Hyundai thinking they can steal it. This owner may have dealt with a broken window and busted steering column already in a past failed attempt.

My theory is that their workplace has two different parking lots. One lot is further away and is for imported vehicles parking. Another, closer lot for domestic vehicles. Slap a Ford badge on there… BAM…now they can park closer to the entrance.
