I don't have the Alexa icon on my Sync 4 screen. The car was just updated to Blue Cruise at the dealer (21G01). So many seem to hate Alexa that it's no big deal if I don't get it but I am curious as to when it appeared on the Sync screen.
It‘s only in 2022 cars (so far).

Thank you for the info. Now I know something wasn’t missed. What else does 2022 (Job 2?) cars have that 2021 lacks software wise?

I despise everything about Amazon and I'm kind of pissed that I have to look at this Amazon logo at the top of my screen every day! I haven't found a way to disable it yet somebody says you can but I'm still looking!
I don’t even see it no more

I've used it to access my Amazon music playlists in my mme. No complaints. Almost my entire house is automated with Alexa including lights, TV's, blinds and fireplace. Oh and I also tell her to give treats to my dog. I find it useful.

Kinda hilarious you have to set up a profile to get rid of logo you guys hate.
You know if you set up a profile then Dun Dunn DUUNNNN. Amazon will have all your data, kill your cat, and run off with your significant other.
I have a 2022 MME and it has the Blue Circle
Has anyone else done the Login/Logout to get it to go away ?
I found some Ford instructions that showed my 3 year Trial period - which i did not activate
and it said to De-Activate go to Connected Services to turn it OFF. There is nothing like that in my Car's settings.

I am pretty sure we will all get her with an OTA, so get ready. And I doubt we will have a choice if we want the other "improvements" that are part of that and future updates. Maybe I will just put a piece of black tape over the logo on the screen so I won't be so annoyed that it is there. As long as she is not turned on and listening, it will just be a minor annoyance.

Edit: maybe our friends @AOSK will make an Alexa cover to hide the logo! ?
There will probably be an option to shut Alexa off

I managed to make the Blue Circle vanish
Hit the blue circle and register your car with Amazon
a slick process where the car produces a QR- scan with your phone and done

Then the Blue Circle disappeared !

Alexa does absolutey nothing ! Then a friend told me that need to have an Alexa router in your house. Then your car can control things in your house

There seems to be NO Alexa function in the Car itself eg: Radio volume UP or what's the weather

There is no interface anywhere in the Car despite the Ford instructions which say there is a panel under Bluetooth settings

I didn’t renew my connected services, and Alexa no longer does any jobs for me.

I like Alexa over Siri mainly because she will search the internet and read the answers whereas Siri won't do that while driving. I didn't think I'd enjoy it as much as I have.

My 21 doesn't seem to have full integration with Alexa, but I agree with the observation about Alexa itself. Even on real Apple devices, Siri mostly respond with things like "I found this online" then it gives you a Wikipedia link. Alexa may not always have the correct response, but at least it READS it to you.

In the car, Alexa only works when plugged in via USB, and seems to only respond when I push the button on the steering wheel. I tried it a few times by asking for things like the weather and got a nice looking display with hourly and daily forecasts and even a radar map, but I it bugs me that you need to plug in via USB and that it asks you to DISABLE SIRI. Why can't they both work at the same time?

Right! I am using ANDROID Auto. I've got my voice assistant of choice already @FordMotorCompany tyvm. I hate this era of partnerships getting forced down consumer's throats.

I have the 3.3.1 udpate in my 22 GT which enabled full Alexa integration. So far I've liked it. She does everything the ford voice commands can do but much faster and smoother. The only thing I haven't been able to accomplish with Alex is changing my sirius radio stations. She can turn on my Sirius but just to the last station I have tuned to. Maybe I'm missing something there, not sure. But for navigation and quick access to information she has been great. Once enabled the Alexa icon at the top of the display does disappear which is nice. This doesn't require anything to plugged into a usb or anything else.

Alexa works great! Use it every day. Opens and closes the garage door, tunes to radio stations, displays my shopping list on the display. Seriously one of the best features in of the car!
