The edge on mine was starting to come loose so I decided to remove the spoiler. I used a heat gun, generous amounts of isopropyl alcohol, and patience (to let the alcohol soak through). Only got a small chip and some slight marring after taking it off.

Have you tried Dr. Colorchip? I've had good luck with it in the past but that was with black.

yep park the car in the sun and then use the floss, it's easier on the paint but it does take a bit longer

I bought mine used and it has gouges on that lip which I plan on covering with a spoiler. It looks like they removed a spoiler with fishing line and got debris on the line towards the middle and started sawing into the bodywork. At first I thought they had driven under a tree with the hatch up - but the gouges don't look like a regular scratch. I like the car - but no, - I won't ever buy a car online again...
