Apple Maps EV Routing Not Showing Up

Hi guys,

I just got a 24 Premium Mach-E. Loving it so far, but having a problem with EV routing showing up. This is my first post on this forum

Here is what happened:

1. When I got the car, I was able to setup EV Routing just fine.
2. I wasn't getting software updates in the car,, so I did a factory reset on the car.
3. After the factory reset, I removed the car from Apple Maps since the battery percent was not updating at all.
4. Since then, I haven't been been able to re-add it. I've done a factory reset on my car again / phone. I clicked on my profile in Apple Maps to see if "Vehicles" is there. And nothing seems to work.

If anyone has access to tools that can help, I can provide my VIN or I'm willing to try things that I might have overlooked.

I personally prefer to not have mine setup because it gets rid of the time remaining on the trip in the Apple Maps CarPlay window when EV routing is enabled. Sorry, can't help you solve your issue though.

What happens when you try to add your car to your Apple Maps?
I’m assuming CarPlay is currently setup on your phone.

Nothing happens because there is no option to add it under my profile in Apple Maps and I don’t get any kind of of pop up or anything to add it.

delete the Apple Maps on your phone and then reinstall it via the App Store...next time you use car play it will set it back up for you

Add EV to Apple Maps link. Main part is you have to have the FordPass App installed on your phone first. Then you can go into Apple Maps and select if from your profile.

Don't take this the wrong way but you are trying to add a vehicle while the phone is connected to the car, CarPlay is running and you have Maps open on CarPlay, correct?

did you try removing Apple Maps from the phone and re-adding from the App Store. I had the same issue and apple support gave me this fix which worked, once you connect back to CarPlay it should prompt you

update: my car updated to 10.1.0 today and the feature started appearing again.

not really sure what’s going on, is this feature apart of 10.1.0? I guess a factory reset restores the software to an older version and doesn’t just delete user data?

I'm having the same issue. Bought the car used, had to factory reset to add it to FordPass, and am unable to get Apple Maps to acknowledge the connection. I know how it's supposed to work because it works fine in my wife's Mach-E. I've tried deleting Apple Maps, rebooting Sync, rebooting my iPhone, deleting and re-adding my phone to SYNC, deleting the car from my CarPlay settings on the iPhone, etc.

I'm hoping it gets an update and starts working again like yours.

I didn’t think a factory reset reverted the version back - like the OP, I thought it just reset all the user data. Does it really revert versions?

That seemed to be the case for me. I got a bunch of updates over a course of week or so and eventually the feature was enabled again. Seems weird that ford does that.

I reset my car 7 days ago, and haven't received anything except the BC 1.3 update I got right before I factory reset it. Hoping they start to show up or else I'll start down the FDRS rabbit hole...
