Apple Maps has no sound.

I cannot figure a way to enable sounds or voice directions in Apple Maps. What am I missing. Thanks

Two things.

There is a bug either with CarPlay or the MME that results in no sounds coming from CarPay. To fix this one you have to disconnect the phone and reconnect.

Second, while on Apple maps in CarPlay press the screen. On the right side of the screen an icon will appear. You can select from muted, alerts only, or spoken directions. Or ask Siri to unmute navigation.

Happen to me once, reboot your phone, then its starts to work agai.

It’s working now. I disconnected the phone from the car, rebooted iPhone. I then reconnected and I was able to push the screen and the volume icon came up. Thanks guys
