Auto turn on 360 camera when speed is below 9MPH

I mentioned earlier that my condo garage neighbors can't get out of the car easily unless I park as far too the left as possible, but to my left is an entrance/exit walkway on which I shouldn't impinge. Hence I like to park so the edge of my car is exactly on the left side of my left parking strip. It normally takes two tries (for other geometric reasons), and I have to turn the camera on each time I shift into 'forward'.

Don’t know what to think about this. Seriously a quick tap on the camera icon takes I don’t know a second . I used it a lot when I got the car because of steep drop off the hood front. But as I have gotten used to the car everything except the back up camera isn’t as much use. A feature I would probably turn off it was the default I can park or parallel path without the asssitance .

If I use the 1PD and let it stop the car, the car will do a double stop. First stop is good, then it will do a hard stop and it will jerk you back some. (Annoying.)

Smooth as velvet for me.

One nearly imperceptible stop, every time. Passengers are astounded.

Is mine the only car that automagically turns on the cameras at low speed and a potential object (such as a curb) is detected?

Ours does that all the time when close to objects.

Ours also has said the black-eyed Susans by our driveway several times through sudden emergency braking

sometimes my MME has rough/jerky stops. I have to keep my foot slightly on the pedal to come out a smooth stop. If I use the 1PD and let it stop the car, the car will do a double stop. First stop is good, then it will do a hard stop and it will jerk you back some. (Annoying.)

Personally, I would like the option to change/adjust the braking. If I’m not mistaken, they use a blend braking system, and sometimes my Mach-E has rough/jerky stops. I think there is an issues with your car. I've had three Mach-E's and like Mark and Phil above, they have all been smooth as silk. No double stop, no jerkiness.

For those owners don't want this convivence, they can turn that off. It's so annoying to have to take my right hand off the steering wheel in order to press the camera button just so I can park using the 360 camera. Neither my Toyota Tundra nor my wife's Lexus require this extra step, both 360 cameras turn on automatically below 9MPH.

Assuming they were going to do it (they're not), if you submitted feedback via the car, they might do something say 18 months to 2 years later.

He wants it to come on even when not close to an obstacle. I've only ever seen this functionality in Toyotas. I do like it in my wife's RAV4 Prime.

I wish the 360 camera would turn on automatically when at parking speeds and it detects obstacles. Technically it does this, but only if I'm close enough the MachE (or my Lightning) is already screaming that I'm super close to something. It's weird because my Expedition (2018 Limited Max) I had prior to my Lightning did exactly this and it was wonderful. I never had to reach for the camera button, it just came on as soon as I was slow enough and in proximity (4~5 feet) of something like another car. Ford definitely took a step in the wrong direction with the camera activation sensitivity on these EVs. Decision probably made by some suit that only ever parked in his garage or the same parking space at work.
