@Ford Motor Company: Your 2021 F150 does not have camera restrictions like the Mach e. Raise the threshold just 5mph, maybe 10mph. Very annoying that I can't turn it on while cruising a parking lot. One has to mash the button several time to get it turned on. I am most likely going to mash a car while mashing the button...

It absolute does have restrictions. There are certain views that we can enable at speed, but the 360 view is not one of them. Only the rear facing camera, bed camera, and 50/50 split side view can be enabled at speed. We can also enable the front camera at speed if we reconfigure the truck to have rock crawl mode. Aside from the rear facing camera(s), all other camera at speed view require some kind of FORScan magic to work on the F150.

As per the common tab of Livnitup's spreadsheet, to enable camera(s) at speed:

Ford Mustang Mach-E Auto turn on 360 camera when speed is below 9MPH 1748877370030-ny

On these cars, this will only enable the rear facing camera at speed. Once the above is enabled, there are other changes need to be made at the APIM to enable 50/50 views and 50/50 views at speed. Not sure if anyone with one of these cars has tried it, but if someone wants to, lmk and I will dig up the changes needed for that.

On the F150, turn signal side view cameras can be enabled, but it only works with a trailer plugged in.

remapping the useless park button to camera would be an improvement as well. Submit in-car voice feedback.

Considering it took Ford 5 years of production to fix grabby brakes, and they still haven't fixed CarPlay/AA issues, i wouldn't hold my breath.

I do have the rear camera enabled to come on at any speed (did that back in ‘21) and tried to get the front to do the same with some of the other settings you mentioned but never got it working. Looks like I’ll have to look at this again….. maybe with your help. ?

I did just that. Enabled the cameras to come on with the park assist switch back in ‘22 because there wasn’t an easy way at the time to view the cameras without going through menus on the sync screen.

In that case, try these APIM settings to get 50/50 views to show. Change whatever you have here to keep everything the same but enable "V":

Ford Mustang Mach-E Auto turn on 360 camera when speed is below 9MPH 1748881206534-6z

And do the same here to keep everything as is bit enable VS:

Ford Mustang Mach-E Auto turn on 360 camera when speed is below 9MPH 1748881305171-2q

If it doesn't work, just change it back to whatever was there before.

Thanks and I will but unfortunately I’m in Europe until the 14th so won’t be able to mess with it until then. I’ll let you know unless someone else does it first. ?

I’m sure this is something they can simply do. It would be a nice feature to have. Sometimes those small things make a big difference.

All the sensors on the car, should be able to pick up low speeds when in D to turn on front camera.

They should utilize the screen, 360 camera on the right side taking up about 33% of the screen, and 66% of the screen showing all cameras on the front and back. I like what one person said: use the parking button. Mine is nearly unusable.

Personally, I would like the option to change/adjust the braking. If I’m not mistaken, they use a blend braking system, and sometimes my MME has rough/jerky stops. I have to keep my foot slightly on the pedal to come out a smooth stop. If I use the 1PD and let it stop the car, the car will do a double stop. First stop is good, then it will do a hard stop and it will jerk you back some. (Annoying.) @Ford Motor Company - Please!!! fix the blend braking!!

Is mine the only car that automagically turns on the cameras at low speed and a potential object (such as a curb) is detected?

Mine does when I’m close to an object in the front too, but whenever I’m parking and just want to drive in and not back into the parking spot, I would click on the camera. It would be nice for it to sense, “Oh, they’re trying to park.” lol

No I think they all do that, but people would prefer if there was a way to automatically or more easily activate it when first slowing down to for example maneuver into a parking spot.

Well, if there’s nothing to see, why turn them on? And if there is something to see, they automatically come on. So, I’m still baffled as to why this functionality is required?
I’d much rather Ford spent their scarce coding resources on what we really need - an improved karaoke app! ?

It's super handy when you are navigating the curb side in a parking lot or pulling into a parking space. Ford just needs to give the choice to the owners, if you don't like it, leave it off but if you like to have the 360 turns on automatically at parking lot speed, let us enable that feature.
