When parked where there is an obstacle in front of me (i.e. wall, another vehicle, etc.) when I put my foot on the brake, it automatically switched to reverse.
Funny enough I think this happened to me at least twice. Until this post I thought I was having a 'senior moment' because surely the car can't put itself in gear? I start the car reach down rotate the knob one position press the pedal and nothing happened. Looked down and see I'm in neutral. My profile is set to 1 pedal with hold. This has not happened to my wife whose profile uses neither setting. (At least she has not made a comment about it.) I have a 2024 Premium AWD ER that came with BC1.3 already installed.
Now I'm going to have to pay closer attention to see if it is me, or the car, or the profile settings.

So it seems like we have established it does "seem" be happening sporadically. I changed the thread title to see if we get more eyes on it and maybe more comments.

I have not noticed this ever. I've had BC 1.3 since March and this has never happened and I doubt that it would be in the Blue Cruise Update. I received 6.14 a few weeks back and have not come across this issue either.

Do you use 1 pedal drive?

I did have a case a few weeks back where I found myself in R, and I swear I didn't touch the gear dial. Haven't noticed it again, and maybe it was just a fluke.

I can't imagine they would intentionally create a feature that puts the car into gear automatically. Seems suuuuper dangerous and a lot could go wrong.
I'm just curious, do you use 1 pedal drive?

This feature is an "Easter egg". When you pull too close to a wall, the car shifts into "DYFHT" mode and shifts to reverse and save your ass. If you run over your wife due to the shift into reverse, Ford promises a replacement wife "soon".

I have not had an update since last August; however, I have noticed the phenomenon you mentioned several times but assumed it was may age creeping up on me. I park in a g tight garage so front end up close to an obstacle. I have mu habit to just start and spin one click and sometimes find myself in N. Just always thought I forgot as I always double check the height of the garage door before backing out! Now I am going to have to keep an eye on it to see which is really the case.
Just curious, do you use 1 pedal drive?

this has never happened to me and i virtually always park in front of a wall... maybe you need to specify how close to a wall but i'm basically ~2 feet so i doubt you're much closer than me

I also have literally pulled it too close to a garage door, where it hit my front splitter when going up and there was no gear change and thankfully no damage (except my pride)
