My dealer is telling me something that doesn't make any sense based upon my Bronco ordering experience, and the answer always changes dependent upon who I ask.

In others experience- are applicable rebates and incentives based upon the order date, delivery date, or sales date?

I ask because the amounts keep changing.

Ordered in January and there were $9000 available incentives.
Arrived at dealer on June 16 (on hold) and there are $7500 in incentives thru 7/7.
After release for sale who knows..

Seem like I may loose incentives after 7/7 due to the Sales hold, but I guess I'll find out

Ford offers customers best of both worlds where you qualify for rebates either at order or vehicle delivery to you (not dealer). Vehicle deliver to dealer is not a significant date. But not all rebates are protected. It depends on the rebate itself. So the question you should ask is which rebate is protected and which is not. For example, the credit in leu of getting an EVSE is not a protected rebate and can change over time. @hybrid2bev is our resident expert here and can shed more light or correct anything I misstated.

My dealer told me you get the better of the two incentive packages. Either at time of order or time of purchase. You cannot mix and match old and new promos.

This is for a customer order. If you ā€œorderedā€ aka reserved a dealer inventory car then that’s not really a true order and I don’t think the price protection applies.

If the current rebates are $7500, that combined with employee pricing incentive might be better than the original $9000 incentives. You’re not going to get the employee pricing on top of the original $9000 in incentives.

Yep. If the dealer places the order with the factory as a retail order with your name attached, pricing and incentives are locked in at the time of order.

When the vehicle arrives at the dealer, they are expected to give you the opportunity to buy it before putting it into the lot in general inventory.

At that time, you can choose between pricing and incentives as of the order date, or the date on the paperwork that you officially purchased the vehicle. No mix and match here.

As noted, some incentives and programs, like the Power Promise program, may not be locked in and instead treated separately.

For my Escape, I received price protection, a general incentive, holiday bonus cash, and AZ bonus cash, as well as 1.9% for 60 months. By the time the vehicle arrived, this amounted to a considerable discount over the window sticker and current rates, so of course I took what was locked in. But if there were better incentives, I could’ve taken those instead.

Thanks!

Now hopefully Ford will resolve the Sales Hold Battery Software issue soon.

We ordered our 25 MME GT on 3/6. At that time the lease interest rate for a 36 month lease was .54%. Tax rebate was $7500 and the power promise was $1,000 in leu of the charger & installation. Dealer agreed to the price of $2500 under MSRP. On a 7500 annual mile lease the residual was 47%. When the car came in 5/31 and we took delivery 6/5 the Power Promise was down to $500, the lease tax credit was down to $5500, and the lease interest rate was up to 1.76%. Residual up at 51%. The current employee pricing would have knocked about $3100 off MSRP, but overall It was a better deal to take the discounts and lease terms offered when we ordered 3/6.
