Frequently shortly after starting, the center screen freezes and then reboots after 30 seconds or so. The worst one was when this happened while the backup camera was on, and I'd backed up several feet before realizing the display wasn't updating.
So, now I'm extra careful to make sure the display is updating when starting to back up (and looking in the mirrors as well).
Is this a known issue? instrument display doesn't seem to be affected. I suspect, but haven't confirmed yet, that this happens if I move the car out of park before the center display has fully booted up. I don't think its ever happened if I give it several extra seconds after it seems like its ready to go.
I made what I consider a reasonable attempt to search for this in the forums, But didn't find anything that seemed directly relevant. I'm not having other issues, and it seems fine once its rebooted (or never crashes in the first place, when I wait before moving out of P). I've only had the car for a month or so, and it only happens occasionally, so I can't say if always been there, or not.
I'm using wireless carplay, which auto connects, in case that's relevant. (maybe the crash occurs if its switching to the backup camera at the same time carplay is establishing?) a couple times the crash was while the startup animation is still playing (the animation just freezes for 30 seconds, then restart). and I don't remember if I'd moved out of P or not, going forward i'm trying to explicitly note what I was doing when it crashed. this has happened 4 or 5 times at this point.
I don't think it's ever happened when I remote start the car.
