I've been having an issue with the map data on I-15 near where I live in Utah. The speed limit is 70, but there are 2 spots on the freeway (about 1/2 mile apart) where the car thinks the speed limit is 50. It's kinda dangerous, as you're cruising along all of a sudden the car will just stomp on the brakes to slow down to 50. Then it'll see the sign for 70 and speed up again a moment later.

There are no speed limit signs anywhere that say 50 so it's gotta be an internal database thing. It's been like this for almost a year. Is there way to report that to Ford?

Try disabling the speed limit recognition setting, even though there are no signs in the area giving you trouble. Personally, I don't see much use for that feature, and like you said, it can be dangerous when its incorrect.

It's not Ford. It is a company called HERE.

If you go into their map creator, you can find their speed for the road. https://mapcreator.here.com/

A road near my house went from something (posted signs, think they were 50), to an unposted speed limit of 55. Here changed it to 25. I went through the laborious process of gathering proof (county database) to show the road is unposted 55. It has now been changed - in their database. The next time Ford allows a map update (I believe annually), it should change.

This is what I was looking for. Thank you!

I have corrections on there going back 2 years. Still not approved, and not changed. It seems like a waste of time.

Just to be clear, you can't "correct" the area. You submit a correction to HERE, they review it and decide if it's correct - then they change their database. Then, at some point in the future, it should change in the car.

FYI, I submitted my change to HERE in early November. Two months later they notified me that they had updated their database. It's now 2 1/2 months after that, and no map update. It is likely an annual update.

All mine have just been in perpetual "Under Review"
I supplied proof, i.e. link to the county's website where they specified the speed limit.

I'm hoping they don't ask for proof on mine! Random 20ft sections in the middle of a freeway that have a different speed limit should be self explanatory ha ha

Thats how the section of highway I've reported is. Its like a half mile, and its split into 6 sections all with an incorrect speed limit.

I never hear back from my submissions with HERE. When I submit changes to Google or Apple, gets approved fairly quickly. And you don’t have to submit proof from a county database. ??? I like the built in maps, but too many speed limit and address errors in my area (including my own home address) to be reliable for me.

I like the speed sign recognition.
It saved me from going 55 into a school zone that I did not see. At first I thought it was a car error then I saw the school. The sign was blocked as I passed A School Bus.
