I've taken to using cheap baby wipes. Dust is my only problem.
On the painted surface?

That's not a good idea unless you want to strip the wax and scratch the shit out of it.

Aside from the baby wipes causing damage themselves due to their chemicals and texture, dust is essentially miniature rocks. Wiping them across the surface is going to create scratches. Detailing spray encapsulates dust that can then be removed with a microfiber cloth. Baby wipes don't work like that.

Go get some detailing spray and good safe towels, unless you don't care of course...

My go to place has a service that is called the “Tesla” wash. A hand wash only.

It’s not cheap @ $50 but worth it to me.

I hope the towels on the floor aren't re-used again. Otherwise nice sand paper effect even after washing them. They could at least put them in a clean bucket.

Good catch. Those microfiber towels grab everything....(including highly abrasive things)...I somehow got little pieces of shredded leaves in one. Thought the washing machine would take care of it. Nope. I began picking them out and finally just threw it away.

If the car wash is that strong, imagine what it's doing to your paint...
Saw too many car wash brushes on line with mud leaves small branches stuck to them. Never ever would I use a brush car wash. That my my 2006 Jeep Commander paint looks like new. I have the no touch car washes in my area very close and safe.

I do automotive detailing as a business... Please do not take your cars through tunnel washes with brushes. Obviously, I highly recommend a professional detailer, or doing it yourself. That's not feasible for everyone, so at least find a good touchless car wash tunnel.

Sorry for the late reply!

Nothing was wrong with the charge port, I was just taking some things apart to take some pictures and write some things up!

Also, with the charge port picture, is that the only emergency release for the latch...? Under the Charge Port Trim...?

Aye, in Nottingham UK, £10 gets you a handjob, too?

Hand wash with 2 bucket method or touchless is my preferred option.

What works best for me with least amount of time and effort is hand wash with a pressure washer / foam cannon / leaf blower combination.

PPF and Ceramic definitely make it a lot less effort but the game changer was foam cannon / leaf blower.
