Yea, I getcha, but an 8 in the APIM didn't work for me or several others that tried with both B&O systems. I though at first it may only work on the 6 channel DSP and not the 10 channel we have with the 18 speaker system, but same results in both cases.

Another member tried changing -02-01 Xxxx to a few different values to see if changing vehicle types helped any, but that didn't help, either. Turning noise canceling on/off also didn't help. We're still tinkering with it. I plan on messing with it on Sunday when I have some time to try and figure it out.

Did you change your E60D to E61D for DSP? I'm wondering if your APIM change won't show up unless the DSP supports it.

Yea, I did. I get the Beosonic menu to pop up, but as the video shows, no changes I make stick. It always reverts the dot back to the center.

Hi I did on MME 21 both changes and it popped up in sound setting with dot working but every power cycle I have to go in sound to enable profile. Any solution for that.

This is the kind of missed opportunity that Ford drives me nuts with.

Here's a chance to deliver a teeny tiny OTA (or FDRS) that simply edits hex values in EXISTING customer's Mach-E's, and they get a new feature in a vehicle that yesterday didn't have it. Obviously the necessary software was already installed on my car, but the feature wasn't yet enabled.

Took 2 minutes after carrying the laptop out to the car.

Played around with it on a few songs. Pretty cool! Double tap for the win.

Thanks to all you fellas that fuss and figure out these things, and then share.

So you enabled the UI, but does moving it around actually change the sound? The DSP would also need to have the software for it in order for the sound to change.

Yes, it absolutely functions. The trick is to move the dot to the area you choose, then double tap the dot itself. The double tap immediately makes the adjustments aurally.

And yes, it requires the Forscan edit in the DSP module, as well.

Double tapping is just turning surround mode on and off (which will definitely change the sound, but that's existing functionality). Are you sure the sound is changing from ONLY moving the dot, not double tapping it?

It does not change the sound just sliding the dot around.
When I tap the dot and the sound changes, it changes very differently if the dot was on "relaxed" vs if the dot was on "energetic".

And if you hit the Neutral button, it definitely undoes the aural changes.

I'll go out to the car and spend more time confirming the details

But I was right that depending on where the dot is, you get very different tonal output. Regardless of the double tap. But that's because the Beosnic pad IS working as you move the dot around, but not until you lift your finger. Lol

I definitely confused myself.

So in summary, Beosnic is working if you reposition the dot and let your finger off.
The quickest way to test if it's working is to slide the dot all the way down to 6-o'clock and let go. It'll immediately sound like the vocals put their hand over their mouth. All the brightness will be gone.

And yes, the double tap is a quick convenient way to cycle back and forth with stereo/surround.
