Hi,

I am new MachE owner just this week!

Delighted with my AWD 98w Premium.

One teething issue is that I can’t seem to find a bike rack?

I have and E bike and it’s heavy so no way it can be a roof rack.

Complicated with rear opening and sensors.

Would be 1-2 bikes…..any ideas folks?

these links might help you. Stealth hitch and then a rack of your choice, unfortunately sensors seems to be an issue. I'm lucky during riding season I just leave the bike in the back of the car (back seats down)

this talks about disabling the rear sensors. https://www.macheforum.com/site/threads/bike-hitch-is-blocking-sensors.39542/#post-860529

Appreciated; I will need enlist a professional as I’m not trusting myself with doing that work. I’ll try to find someone in Aberdeen Scotland.

Once you get your hitch installed I’d look for a Thule rack. I’ve used their carriers for 30 years on all sorts of vehicle, with all sorts of bikes and gear. E-bikes are really heavy so you must buy something rated for them. Lifting them is no picnic so something like Thule EZ Fold is worth every penny. Their warranty is for real too.

One other piece of advice….don’t get a hitch that sits too far in from rear bumper! Then you’d have to use an extender to be able to use and operate any folding bike carrier which is a royal pain and also leads to rattles and bounce. My Curt hitch only extends out 1/2 inch past the bumper and is almost unnoticeable when the dirt cover is in place. I’m able to fold up various bike carriers flat without striking the hatch gate and also drop the carriers down in order to access the rear cargo via hatch gate.

I can fully recommend the Thule Epos rack. Costs a fortune but is worth it
