BlueCruise Stopped working

okay. so on my way back, first good news: handsfree started working without me doing anything. then bad news: half way to home, cruise control totally stopped working.
yellow message: "adaptive cruise not available". same message whether I have "lane keeping with handsfree" on or off.
if I change to normal cruise control, there's no error message, but no cruise control either. no response when I press the cruise control button.

I'm going to have a 2100 miles trip after labor day. no cruise control would be painful.

The same thing happened to me. Went on a weekend trip from CT to PA via I-95, I-287, I-78 and BlueCruise did not activate (the screen did not turn blue). When activating cruise control, the pop showed up saying that blue cruise is now active but did not activate.

I've travelled these highways before and blue cruise would activate. Seems like something happened when the car got the HVBJB recall update as well as the Alexa updates.

Do you have Ford Speed Sign Recognition turned on. That will see a sign and set your speed. I quickly turned that off because of the same reason. I think its under Drivers Assistance

In addition to speed sign recognition, I found that it will turn Blue Cruise off in heavy rain or when following a truck in medium rain. Sometime it drops to hands on wheel, sometime it goes all the way to "Take control".
I also find that in the rain, it takes more time to activate.

I've noticed the same thing. The past several days on highways where BlueCruise has always worked and fully engages, will no longer work. No settings on my end has changed. Just turned it on the other day, and it would go full BlueCruise...

Don't know what the issue is for me either.

Mine has been messed up for the past month and a half too. It's completely random if it will engage hands free. I drive the same Interstate 44. It's a verified highway. Sometimes (25% of the time) it will engage. Other times (75%) it will only do hands on. I keep thinking it's the sensors getting dirty, but I don't know. It's not the sun either. Sun is overhead most of the time.

What I do know is it's frustrating that I paid $600 extra for this functionality and it doesn't work even half of the time when it is supposed to. I'm thinking it's a server bug like others have mentioned. Maybe it'll get fixed when Ford releases the Bluecruise update later this year.

I have a MachE 21, Job 1 with Blue Cruise connected services activated, all the sw updates for Blue Cruise done (including maps on the vehicle , current expiration date 10/21/22). I drove from Austin TX to Denver CO on interstates and Blue Cruise never triggered. Brought the car to the dealer and they could not figure out what is wrong. Their assessment is it will be fixed somehow via some OTA update. I am not hopeful that I will ever get Blue Cruise working.

This has happened to me only twice, on my work commute. One day on the entire commute it will not come on.. and the other instance while I was driving in a hard rain.
