So FORD awesome job. Spend 60k on a car and bluetooth does not work with the only option for a second key. How about you either fix this or offer a second key?? Seems like a reasonable ask to me......
I hear you! I bought a second FOB before I got my car so now my wife and I each have a FOB. I'm seriously considering deleting PaaK from both of our phones as we are not using the remote controls. We already have the unlock and start codes so I think we'd be fine.

Can anybody tell me what we'd be losing by deleting the PaaK besides a "Remote Start" button? The FOB and the PaaK have identical functions except that PaaK has remote start button. I like the concept of PaaK where you don't need a FOB and can totally rely on your phone only in practice there are too many problems to make it work reliably.

I guess they do not read this forum. I had my car there over a week, explained it to them, they said they ll open a ticker. It has been several weeks never got an update.

The dealer does not return calls and corporate guy keeps saying he does not have an update and cannot get ahold of the dealer

You can remote start without phone as a key... I think you will loose nothing...

yes he is right, you still can remote start, the only thing you lose is, that you will need to carry the fob. other than that it is the same...

I think you also lose the start code. you don't lose the unlock code...but i think you won't be able to start the car with the code.

Yup. You can use the factory entry code, but you'll have no start code. If you're old school that's no big loss. It's been discussed ad nauseum here in most all of the 81,632 threads on PAAK.

You actually added up the number of threads on this one facet of PaaK loss? That’s an amazing number! As I said in another post, I use the Car Play app for all my phone calls now because the Bluetooth Sync 4a was too unreliable. My wife still uses it though and doesn't complain to me about it so it must be working for her.

My Bluetooth keeping going in and out when I'm on a call. Doesn't matter whether I use PAAK or not. Android auto or car Bluetooth connection drops the same. I had the latest update from Ford installed that is suppose to fix the issue but it is still happening. I have a Samsung S20. I don't have any problems in any other car. Any suggestions?

did you try wired in? Is your android version up to date? Did you do the PAAK update already? Did you try to delete the PAAK ?

I wanted to add some information on this thread.
Ford closed my case last week. My car was several times at the dealership for several issues. The PAAK issue was not really resolved. Again my issue is not an issue with PAAK itself, but when PAAK is active it is acting up and drops the Bluetooth connection for multimedia...

They did the PAAK update just the day it was actually announced. I tried after that, and not long after the calls drop again and the music drops, no matter if I use android auto, wired in or just bluetooth with android auto off. So no fix.
I told it to the representative which kept calling me from ford that this is still not fixed he only said "ah ok". I told it to the dealer, but I also mentioned that I am tired of trouble shooting it and that I gave up on it, as I lost totally the trust in FordPass and in PAAK.
All the dealer ever did was saying that my S21 (launched in February 2021) was outdated, their Iphone would work. I understand that they are limited with their capabilities on fixing issues and that it is probably a compatibility bug.
I tried my wifes S21 and my S21 both act the same way, newest Android verison is installed. Now with PAAK deleted it works more or less ok. not flawless, but ok. Sometimes songs are not loading correct on android auto and occasionally the audio quality is not good in phone calls...

I just decided to leave with it and not burn more energy on it.
Ford closed the case and promised me free service for the first 3 years, as they took so long for all the issues.

Honestly I rather had the phone working right.

I am just wondering, if I am the only one with this exact issue.

No, you are not alone. I am going to try and give a dealership a shot should I be ever able to find one willing and able to fix it.

Had FSA 21B36B installed this morning.
Changes in performance:
Sends phone a message when walk away locks
PAAK overrides fob, when carrying both, when trying to unlock drivers side. It takes two tries now. Previously, the fob overroad the phone and it opened right away, first press.
Drivers door and driver's passenger door will not unlock when using phone alone. Previously would open w/ phone alone after 2nd or 3rd try.
"View Important Notice" in vehicle window is now orange instead of red.
Drains phone battery at even faster rate (at least 2X faster than previous extremely fast drain)

Other flaws still there for now, eg. partial response (red), 2021 Ford Edge, no SecuriAlert, etc.

I will give it a couple of days or so and then evaluate.

Any updates to this? Early on with my model 3 Tesla I had the same Bluetooth issues and after a few software releases it was fixed.

I believe Ford has some compatibility issues with various Bluetooth chipsets or keep alives to maintain a stable connection. There could be tolerance thresholds that ste not in sync which causes the link to go up and down.

I also have a Samsung s20 and you would think a more recent version phone would have less issues but perhaps ford tested with an older version combination of phones.

The problem is not with our phones the problem is with ford's configuration or setup with the Bluetooth
