Bluetooth keeps dropping

As an update to my situation I got in the car this morning and was greeted with an update failed message, after clicking ok android auto popped right up so I guess the car was trying to update yesterday and blocked me from using it. Weird though because none of the previous ota have failed this would have been 2.3 as I got 2.1 about 3 weeks ago.

I disabled Paak again a few weeks ago as its such a POS. I still have this disconnect issues but did get a Android update yesterday so figures crossed. Ford's inability the last year to push fixes out makes me want to never buy Ford again. I've already been to the dealer three times in six months. I'm on Android 12, T-Mo, S21 Ultra. MME 2.3.0 loaded a few weeks ago.

Just a quick detail to add here.. Paak and AA use two different Bluetooth connections with two different modules that are not associated with each other.

The wireless version of AA has always been a bit unstable for me. It consistently will drop off in certain areas. There are certain stretches of road where it will always drop every time. If I turn off AA Bluetooth never has a hiccup. So I'm assuming it's the wifi that's dropping out.

Just my observations if that helps at all
Do we have an acronym list here. WTF is PAAK and AA. Jeez, this group is like being a noob working at Intel with all the acryonyms. I figured out MME myself but what are all the rest?

I’ve only recently joined and have the same question as @ZoNiE. Is there an acronym list or FAQ on the forum? I keep running into various acronyms that I’m unfamiliar with and searching the internet rarely gives the best match.

Anyone figure out how to fix this issue? I got my Mach-e March of 2021 and had no issues with my Bluetooth disconnecting and then several months into owning it it started disconnecting while on calls every few minutes. It is so frustrating. I have a Samsung S21+. My husband has a 2022 Mach-e with the same phone and same issue.

I stopped using phone as a key. Deleted it completely from the app and from the car. That made it work well.

There has been mild success with fully removing the phone and vehicle pairing (PaaK and Bluetooth media and phone) and starting fresh.

So you just go into fordpass and hit log out at the bottom? I don't use a key fob so isn't that a pain to keep logging in and out? I am certainly going to give this a try though and see if it works.

I am in this camp.
PAAK worked fine for 18 mo, then BT started disconnecting.... turned out to be a Samsung phone OS update changed BT on the phone *somehow*.

I had to completely delete FordPass and PAAK configuration from phone and MME, and re-install, re-configure from scratch. Fixed BT connectivity 100%.

could be a phone OS update changed BT.... I had similar problems after Samsung Galaxy OS update..... fixed by deleting, re-installing, re-configuring FordPass and PAAK
