The stock rear window wiper is a joke. Get a Trico 15-G or a Bosch A401H blade and replace it. ??

If you road trip a lot ABRP and Plugshare are useful tools. ??

If you are on a road trip, use the built-in navigation to navigate to the L3 chargers you want to use. The car will automatically condition the High Voltage battery before stopping. ??

The frunk is for chillin'! ??

Relax, drive and enjoy! The electric vehicle experience is a whole new world, it is so much better than a internal combustion engine (ICE) you will not be sorry you made the change.

I have had mine for 2 weeks and 800 miles. I am 72 years old and for the first week absorbing the tech made me feel like I was drinking from a firehose. Getting my Autel charger to act like a dumb charger solved most of my issues.
Hang in there. My knowledge became clearer mostly because I had to teach the new tech to my wife as soon as I had learned it myself.

You’ll no doubt read post on this site that make zero sense to you now. Over time they will.
Keep in mind you have the newest version MME and some of the scary breakdowns and issues you’ll read have been already been fixed by Ford in your car. The owners manual is hard to index and often I just use the search on this site to ask my question, find the best answer and take a screen shot with phone and save to the MME album in my photos.

HI everyone,

I am happy, but also nervous, about my new 2024 Mach E premium. I feel like a need degree in engineering and/or electronics, but what would you suggest should be the top ten things I should know as a newbie?

I've posted on this in previous threads but you won't be able to read all posts in these threads unless your a graduate of the Evelyn Wood Speed Reading course. Here's one thing you should do.
Set up your unique (but you can remember it) door code to unlock your doors if you don't have your PAAK or a Fob. It must be 5 digits, say for instance: 35935. Once you have that set up and working, go to your touchscreen in the car and set up your backup pass code. (Should be called the I forgot my key code). This code will allow you to start and drive without a PAAK or Fob. It needs to be a ten digit code and who can remember that! Here's the trick, just use your door code twice. In this case your Backup pass code would be: 3593535935 and voila you can start and drive your red pony any time anywhere even if aunt Mary took your purse with your Fob by mistake. One other tip on this. Set up a monthly reminder to use the door and back up pass code so you don't forget them. I have a reminder pop up once a month on my Outlook calendar. You may use what works best for you. Lastly, the vehicle is an absolute blast to drive so don't forget to have fun...

Below is the single most de-stressing thing I have learned. Hopefully you won’t even have this issue, but every once in a while I get an “electrical system drain” error message from my 2023mme, meaning the 12v (starter) battery is draining for no apparent reason. Resetting it is not difficult and resolves the issue. @Mach-Lee has posted quite a bit of additional information on the topic if you want an advanced degree. Enjoy your MME! I love mine!

You have to pop off the frunk covers and remove the negative battery terminal. You'll need a 10 mm socket. Leave it off for 5-10 minutes then put it back on and tighten. Popping covers is pretty easy to me, but for some people think it's extremely difficult for some reason. They are a little fussy the first time, but you just pull up harder till they come off. I wear gloves.

Welcome to the Mach-e band, hope you enjoy yours as much as I have mine.

42mths and over 101,000 miles taking in some trips to Glasgow and one to Inverness, the noo?

All I can offer are the Ford rubber formed floor mat inserts, the larger Bosch rear wiper blade and what is an absolute must from EV Vida that is a life-changer are the running Pony puddle lights?
