I haven’t asked yet. I thought I’d see whether anyone else had tried yet. I’ll swing by my Ford dealer in the next week or two (hopefully to pick up my floor mats) and ask them whether it’s covered.
FWIW: My other Plug-in Pacifica charger got dropped about 3 years ago in the driveway from about 3ft and the same thing happened. No issues with it having the broken clip and hadn't bothered to talk to the dealer as I dropped it.

These things are low grade plastic but also, not an important enough part to care too much.

@Cuddlecool did you ever get this resolved as this just happened to me, did not drop it, just from removing it from the wall holder. it was 20 degrees out , I wonder if the cold was a problem, the plastic is very brittle

Maxwell Ford in Austin told me the mobile charger would be covered under warranty since it broke during normal use. (Cold was not a factor. It was about 80 degrees in my garage. I just dropped it on the garage floor.) The service advisor placed an order for the replacement mobile charger. That was back in mid-October.

After about two weeks, he let me know it was in and I went to pick it up. We opened the box, and it turns out he had ordered the wall-mounted charging station. I told him I'd take it and pay the difference from the price of a mobile charger. Unfortunately, the dealer wouldn't do it. (Saying something about not mixing warranty repairs with retail parts.)

So they re-entered the order for the mobile charger. That was over two months ago. Every time I text the service advisor to ask about it, he says they're still waiting for it but they should have a status update soon. You wouldn't think it would be so hard to get such an important replacement part. Maybe they are just giving me a line of BS.

As an added annoyance, the broken mobile charger, while it still works, pauses the charging session almost every time I use it. I have to unplug it then plug it back in. This really sucks if I'm trying to charge overnight and need to leave on a longer trip the next morning!

Went in for my 10K service today. Basically, they just rotated the tires and did a multipoint inspection. They also did the 21P22 software calibration update. (I’m holding off on having the windshield and roof recall done.) The service tech checked the status of the replacement for my mobile charger. It’s still on backorder after 2½ months. So frustrating! The tech blamed supply chain issues and Joe Biden for paying people not to work. (I thought that was kind of unprofessional of him, regardless of your politics.)
