Strange charging issue as I got home the other day and plugged in let my Mach-E charge overnight 25% 6p-6A and woke up to 86% charge. Amber light on the far left of my Ford mobile charging unit. The weird thig is its an intermittent issue it will come on for a few mins then go off and back to just a pulsing blue. I have reset the breaker, and insured everything is plugged in correctly. I even took it to my neighbors and got the same issue. The dealer wants me to bring my entire car in leave it with them for a few days?? @Ford Motor Company can I not just get this swapped out under the warranty. I ordered a Juicebox to have wired in the garage but Id still like a functioning mobile charger to keep in the car when I travel.

Multiple reports of this. Go to dealer, borrow a charger, and try it.

As is stated in the handbook, it means that the charger is getting too hot and rather than shutting down completely it reduces power/charge speed to allow it to cool down.

Hi there, Rob. This doesn't sound like an experience we want you to have with your Mach-E. Could you please send us a PM with your VIN and the name and location of your Ford dealer? I'd be happy to look into how I can assist you with this charging concern on my end.

Where did you find that in what handbook? I looked around yesterday in the car and the supplemental owner’s manual and couldn’t find nothing about the mobile charger.

@Ford Motor Company

Add me to the list of a similar issue. Car is 3 days old. First two days worked fine now I get the amber light and then goes back to blue then back to amber/blue etc.... Called the dealership they can't see me for 2-3 weeks and will need the car for at least a day.

I know the car charges fine and the outlet works as I just got another charger installed. Seems like faulty chargers are out there and should be replaced without giving up a car for a day.

Add me to the list, too. When the 240v connector gets warm to the touch, that is when the Amber and Red lights appear. Specifically, Amber and Red will light up for approximately 20-30 seconds, then turn off for 45-60 seconds. This pattern repeats itself again and again. See attached documentation, pages 4 and 5, about these Indicator Lights. The model of my mobile charger is the FoMoCo HP1XA. I am assuming that the attached documentation is applicable to HP1XA. Is Ford supplying a different mobile charger for the 2022 or 2023 models?
