@markboris, I purchased the v3 cause it was on sale, which has yet to ship, but are the v4 changes significant enough upgrade to warrant getting the newer one? My concerns were potential teething issues with a newer model and long lead time to ship. At this current rate of shipping I am may reconsider waiting for the newer one and paying for the difference.

It is complete different design and made by a manufacturer that makes these for OEM lighted emblems. I ran out of the V3 ponies a month ago and they had some left in China but it takes awhile to get items from there right now. I will be getting a large order of the V4's to ship out to US customers but it won't be for around 60 days.

Oh wow, that sounds like a significant upgrade... Guess I'm off to messaging BSKT! Thanks, Mark.

Anyone able to share a picture of how the front pony looks like at night from the front facing camera with and without the resistor installed? I'm just curious to know how bright it is when viewed from the screen.

Thanks!

I don't have a photo (I don't have a pony) but I have seen what it looks like and it does not wash out the image if that is what you are concerned about. You see the lighted pony but it's a very small area as the bottom of the image. Now, the rear pony, if you have it connected to turn white when you backup, washes out the image. However, the new V4 rear illuminated pony does not do this because it is lit differently.

My front lighted pony looks like it has a few LEDs that have gone out. I believe mine is a V3—I got it a few months earlier. I thought this was an issue with earlier versions that was fixed in V3, so I’m curious if anyone else with a V3 has seen their pony LEDs die.

Btw, I’m not using a resistor to dim the brightness—I’m letting it shine bright šŸ™‚

Hi Ash, it looks like that is one of the first V'3's that had small LED's in the tip of each foot that would go dim. The V3's are all gone and the new Ultimate pony won't be available for about 2 months. I will DM you to get your info for the warranty. 😊

It's really a shame that there aren't any reliable lit pony designs except for the OEM Ford one that only fits models that come with it.

With some of the things people have done on here to mod their cars I'm surprised this hasn't been tackled by someone already too. Is it a combination of the front grill, wiring, some module programming, or something extremely complex?

The BSKT "Ultimate" front pony is not like any other aftermarket illuminated front pony that has been available before. It is being made in a factory that specializes in OEM illuminated emblems. Just like the OEM illuminated front pony, it has a smooth, entirely lit outline and is one piece so completely waterproof. It will fade on and off like the OEM GT pony. Will be available in three trim choices, Chrome, Black and Bronze editions.

It comes with a LIFETIME warranty! This "Ultimate" front pony will be available in approximately 60 days or less. The Ultimate Rear pony will be available sooner.

There will be no tariff charges (in the US) on these ponies.

I don’t think it’s going out. While I don’t have one on my car, the one I’ve been using for testing is a little less bright in that area also. I don’t think it’s as dim as yours but hard to tell in photos. Maybe there were some that are more dim that others? I have no problem sending you another pony when I get more in stock. Two days ago I shipped the last one of the second batch of 50. Bruce is shipping another batch of 50 but I’m leaving to go out of the country on Sunday and won’t be back until Thursday the 11th.

Maybe some others here will chime in to let us know if theirs is slightly dim in that area.

Personally
@markboris The dim foot on my front pony seems to be getting worse. The whole foot is dark now and starting to dim the other hoof.

Hey Jeff, I’ll DM you later today when I return home to get it taken care of.
