Hi

On previous EVs I've owned - it was recommended to do Brake-Service (clean and lubricate caliper slide pins+ general cleaning of pads, clips etc).

Do anyone do this to their MME?

Because of regen, the mechanical brakes are used less than on ice cars - and rust and stuck calipers are a common problem with BEVs . But I don't know if this is fixed somehow on the MME.

With 2year service intervals - this might be something to look into self, for those who live in a climate where "all season tires" is not usable. (Soon to change to summer tires here  )

I don’t know for sure, but I’ve not seen anything touted by Ford (or anyone) that says they’ve solved this issue. The Mach-E has had its share of reports on here of other typical EV brake issues (stuck pads, for example), so I would expect the possibility of stuck calipers to be a real concern.
The U.S. maintenance schedule calls for brake component inspection every 10,000 miles.

Idk. But, the front Brembo Flexira 4-piston fixed calipers should be fairly immune to the issues you describe since the pistons squeeze the pads rather than the caliper assy sliding. That’s why many EVs are using fixed calipers, even ones with no sporting pretensions.

Now, the rear sliding caliper brakes, sure, a periodic check/lube may be beneficial. Our 4X has 17 mos/26K miles and no obvious brake noise or sticking issues.

Edit: I can see how a quick application of some copper anti seize brake lube to the front caliper pad slide pins/clips could be beneficial, just haven’t needed it on ours.
