I'll be using the "Calm screen" feature (Car > Settings > Display) on long boring highway drives. Had this on my Saab a half-life ago and it's very soothing at night.

Anyone knows how to get back to it quickly after touching the screen e.g. to check the Nav?

Would love it to be a sticky card so it'd be a one-touch access.

Car online manual mentions: "If equipped the display hard button will cycle the display between the three states: Normal, Calm, and Off"; does anybody know where that mystery button is? I have a Premium AWD ER btw.

Help is appreciated, just looking for that one little extra to top off an impressive car!

Other ford vehicles have an actual button on the dash. My Edge did not have it, and the mach e does not have it. Its really makes that feature useless to have to dig through a menu to get to it.

it would be great to have that as a voice command option: "ok ford, calm screen please"

On the large screen, it just shows the time, temperature and a couple more icons. That's it.
No map, no CarPlay, no music, nothing to distract you. I like it, YMMV.

I think the manual is incorrect - may be it was created when the thinking was that it would have such a button and got removed along with rear ambient lights and rear trunk open button .

Good suggestion though

Thanks. I’ve never heard of such a thing. It looks like the Lock Screen on a phone. Do you have to do anything special to dismiss it if you want to make an adjustment?

Just touch the screen anywhere.
Not sure if hitting a steering wheel control would do the same, I'll have to give it a try.

There is no shortcut to return to calm screen quickly that I could find... sure would be nice if the system could be set to revert to it after 30 seconds of non-activity.... perhaps in any mode but Navigation.

I did get part way there by setting the background to 'Dark' rather than Auto.
It seems far less distracting when it is mostly dark background...

Yeah, I have it set to Dark all the time, which helps a lot except for occasionally when I turn on the car and it comes up in Light mode.

Calm does help with distraction, although the PWM buzzing in the info cluster helps shatter that calm...

The shortcut to get to the calm screen is to press in on the volume knob. Super easy!
I’ve heard this before, but my volume knob doesn’t do this (even after the 1.7.1 update). Do you need to enable this via a setting somewhere?

I don’t think so. I’ve also accessed this screen by holding in the volume knob.
