I should receive a 2022 this year my ETA hasn’t changed for last 5 weeks but I don’t have a production date. I’ve seen in the past people production and build date are the same day so maybe that will be me as well. If my car comes October 15-21 that means it has to be built in august or early September latest … anyone know ?

Just left the dealership and finalized the paperwork. Saw the car it’s just getting the dealership once over. I’ll have it tomorrow!

No nothing other than what’s on their website but at least no mark up. But if yours qualifies for the rebate ask your dealer how they handle it. I had to give them $5000 extra and wait for them to get the money back from the government for them to reimburse me. They said it could be a month

That’s weird because on the govt website it states that rebate is completed at point of sale with dealership then they will obtain rebate so they shouldn’t have inconvenience you for 5 more thousand dollars

Yea I totally agree maybe it was just my dealer being shitty. They probably don’t want to give out $5000 of their own money while they wait for the government to reimburse them. With this system there is no one really for the consumer to talk to about anything except for the dealer.

I’m glad you mentioned it. If my dealer tries this I will show them the website that clearly states that dealer suppose to have made this claim prior to releasing of the vehicle. We can’t run away with the vehicle right they already hve everything about us ? Make sure you keep communicating with your rep so you can the return of 5k.

I called customer service and they told me my ETA, I tried customer service chat and they confirmed as well. I also asked my dealer and he sent me a screenshot with ETA information as well. So weird how they can guesstimate my cars arrival but haven’t schedule a build date

What’s going on with battery supply?

Prices for the minerals used for batteries skyrocketed in the last year and a half with Nickel now more valuable than gold, as well as a huge increase in lithium costs.
Ford (as many other automakers) is working on a different combination of elements for their EV batteries in order to reduce costs and make the cars profitable again, as well as being able to produce more batteries do fulfill the demand.
