My office has free L2 charging stations available in our garage. I'd like to set up a cap so that it doesn't charge above 80%. For my home location, I have a "settings" link in the Ford Pass app where I can set a charging cap. But there is no settings link while charging at the office.

I'm sure I'm just missing something obvious. Any suggestions?

You first must charge at a location for a few minutes before you can save a location.

If the location has been charged at, but doesn't show up, one reason MIGHT be that it's in a garage with no GPS signal, so it isn't recognized as your vehicle being there.

I’m not sure if I’m having the same problem you’re having. I charge my car at home with a Juicebox charger. I have everything set to charge at 90%: the Juicebox, the Ford app, and the car itself. It still charges to 100%. This just started after the last update. Prior to that it consistently would charge to 90%. Every once in a while, after an update, it will charge 100% the first time. Then it will go back to 90%.

There is no way to set the JuiceBox app (or any app except FordPass) to charge the car to a percentage. JuiceBox app has no knowledge of the state of charge of the vehicle, so unless you go into the app and set the starting SOC (which you can do), it has no idea when to stop. It assumes 0% as a start.

Make sure Use Preferred Charge Settings is selected. And that the app shows the vehicle "at home".

That’s interesting. I assumed the Juicebox could find the SOC of my battery either directly or over the Internet. There is a place on the app where you pick what you want the ending SOC to be. I wonder why they give you that option if they can’t really achieve it?

They can - if you set the starting SOC. Simple math.

Or, you can do the math. You want 30% MORE, set it for 30%. That assumes you told it the size of your battery.
