CARGO COVER - FLAPS AROUND

question, when I drive with my windows open, (my dog loves it , the cargo cover in the back lifts up and flaps around like crazy, anyone have a remedy for this, I looked online to see if there is some kind of small weight, I can attach but have not found anything yet. I know I can probably just shorten the string but wondering if anyone else has a plan.

Took it off 4 years ago and put it on a shelf in the garage. Problem solved.

I like your idea, but I prefer to have the cargo cover so people don't try and steal my sheeeet.

Yeah on both mache s I've owned took it off and put them in closet on initial drive home from dealer. They do flap around a lot in the wind. Aftermarket one is much more robust. An option if you need the cover

This is what I use on my 2021, they've been perfect since I put them on. Check t ensure they're compatible with your model year.

What type of flapping? Fluttering from the wind? no. Flapping and falling about? yes.

My cargo cover flapped around and would disconnect from the snap in clips located near the rear glass. I purchased a set of the Etsy locks and they stopped the cover from disconnecting, but it would still flap around anytime I opened a window.

If I still had my MME, I would try disconnecting the strings of the cover so that the part of the cover nearest the rear seat would fall behind the seat back and be out of the wind, yet it would still cover your sheeet in the cargo area. Give that a try and see if it works.

I still have my clips available for sale in the member marketplace of the forum.

There is an easy fix for this.

Step 1 - Remove cargo cover
Step 2 - Throw that thing in the trash ?

Problem solved. If you want something that doesn't flap around in the wind, or come undone when you look at it, you're going to need to buy a 3rd party cover unfortunately.
