Central display weather information

is SiriusXM tied to the weather information in the wrench menu on the central display? Will I lose this nice to have information if I do not continue a SiriusXM subscription? Is there a way to show weather radar on the central display through either the resident app or Apple Car Play? Thanks

Good question. So far i think the only way I've been able to see weather on the screen was to ask hey ford or maybe it was hey siri in car play. Then it goes away.

No, you will not lose the weather, or traffic, information if you don't continue SiriusXM. I never continue it on any car.

No, you cannot show weather without going in like you did, although I don't use CarPlay.

I believe the weather is part of the connected services subscription that comes with navigation. Nobody really knows what will happen when that expires since none have expired yet.

Correct, the weather accessed from the Navigation app "wrench" is enabled via your Connected Navigation subscription. When my trial subscription stopped working for several months earlier this year, weather was unavailable.

Weather is separately available via Alexa (if subscribed) and via CarPlay or Android Auto (no sub required, but uses your phone).
