I charge my car exclusively at work. My job has 4 spots set up with 50 amp outlets. I haven’t had any problems with charging until this week. On Monday, I plugged into a spot I don’t normally get. I plugged in at 8:20, charging started at 9 and at 12:54 I got a charge fault error. I went out and unplugged, checked the connection and plugged back in at 1:08. Connected and started charging right away. I got another charge fault at 2:02. I was almost to my desired charge so I just left it. I originally thought it was maybe that outlet. Today I plugged into an outlet I use regularly. Charged just fine from 9-12:28, then I got another charge fault. I checked all my connections and power and there doesn’t seem to be anything amiss.
I‘ve read some posts about this and plan on reaching out to Ford to schedule to take it in. I’m thankful that I charge during the day since it would suck to wake up in the morning and realize it hadn’t charged.
Does anyone have any advice or insight?
More importantly has anyone in the Tampa/Polk County area taken their MME in for service? I have about 10 Ford dealers to choose from within about 20 minutes of home or work, including Gator Ford that is across the street from my job. I feel lucky with my options, but want a service department that knows what they’re doing and isn’t just going to tell me it’s the outlet.
