The same thing is happening to me with my 2021 Premium AWD Mach E. It is nerve-wracking and I am getting tired of having to keep going out to restart the charge. I have tried to remove my house as a charging location and start from scratch to no avail.
That's too bad. Maybe what the OP did will correct yours at well, which sadly means the dealership will have it a bit.

My dealer received the battery charger unit at the end of March. They had my car a few days installing the unit and everything has worked fine since then.
One more question, what was the actual part name again your dealer replaced? Is it officially called a battery charger unit? This might help narrow down the issue. Thanks again for your quick response.

Sorry to bring up a "kind of" old thread but my Mach E has done exactly the same for the two past charging events with my home Level II charger. I have had it since December 22 trouble free (minus BlueCruise not working until an update) but last Friday after getting home from work I tried to charge it fully to 100% in prep for a long weekend journey and if quickly cut off and got the charge fault error. This was right when I got home and the car was hot. I immediately tried re-plugging back in and my 12 year old Level II Siemens charger's info screen was showing waiting to communicate with the car and would not charge. Thus it seemed the error was with the Mach E and not the charger. Anyway, I then brought it into my cooler garage after a short drive and it charged to 100% with no issue. So I too thought maybe it was too hot to charge....

Over the weekend, we drove it roughly 240 miles and upon getting home we tried to charge to our normal 90% with Level II and it got a fault error after putting about 30 miles of range on, although we didn't know that until this morning. Wife drove it to work and it's showing the Powertrain Malfunction/Reduced Power note in Ford App, although she said it drove fine. I was going to check it again tonight using our Level II Charger and maybe the Level I that came with it. Tomorrow I will drive it to work which has a Level II Charger and try that as well (if we still have enough range that is).

So was there any rectification to this? Is Ford still reaching out to you all directly thru messaging, etc. I want to avoid taking it to the dealer. When we had that BlueCruise software update issue they were very back logged.... Maybe that has improved now.
Hello! Send us a private message with your VIN and the name and location of your local Ford dealer. I’d be happy to see what I can do to assist with this charge concern. Thanks!

Thanks for responding. I will send you a note. Just for everyone's else's benefit, last night I had no issues and car charged to 90% as instructed. I am now at work using company Level 2 charger and again seems fine. After reading a few forum posts about concerns of the charge port and connector not having good contact and causing issues i decided to blow air into each to see if any debris could be causing this. Not sure if that was it but so far i haven't been able to duplicate problem...

I sent you the DM for your assistance. Unfortunately, it seems to be getting worse. It will now only charge about 15 miles and then stop charging.

Many others are having the same issue, me included. See my post here for a workaround.

My charging issues started on my first charge after getting Power-up 4.2.5 at the end of April. This post refers to SSM 51513 which indicates this issue is software related. If this is a software issue that might explain why only some of us have this issue. I'm on Early Access, so I don't know if that Power-up has been fully deployed as of yet.

Thanks for the heads-up on your previous post. My issues started after I received the Power-up 4.2.5 update as well. I will try the workaround suggested.

Just another update as mine seriously must have been caused by dirt/debris in the charger connector and/or port. Since blowing them out I have fully charged half a dozen times, two while on a 500 mile trip using public superchargers and it has been flawless. Just saying if you are having trouble atleast try to make sure connector is clean.

For posterity, here were the codes triggered. These circuits are not part of the J1772 connection, so potentially what's happening is the bad connection is causing the SOBDM to glitch and reset, and setting these erroneous codes even though the circuits are fine.

I have an appointment tomorrow to have my battery charging unit replaced. A Ford representative reached out to me last week. At first, I thought it was a scam, but it turned out to be Ford on the call.
