My Tesla adapter arrived earlier this week. I just went to three SC sites to “test” it. The first site had small concrete pedestals for each V3 unit. The problem was that there was a Tesla parked at every other unit, so there was no way I could park in the parking spot to the right of a unit. The second was a mile or so away at a hotel. Each of their V3 units was placed at least a foot and a half back of the curb. I suppose I could have driven up the curb to get closer, but I decided to try another site that was another mile or so away. This one had its V3 units placed about 8” from the curbs so I could park in the “wrong” spot and try to charge. ??
I inspected the charger plug and found that even though it’s only about a year old the contacts were lightly corroded. The Tesla adapter slid onto the cord’s plug end without any issue and latched firmly. The adapter also plugged into the car without a problem. The charge ring started flashing blue and charging started. I picked up about 2% in just about a minute and stopped the charge. I was billed $1.53 for that charging session. ??
