Haven't used my adapter yet, but when i do, do i need an app of some kind like evgo etc? Or those that have used them, do you just tap at the charger with a card?

If you’ve received the plug and charge update and you have a credit card on file with Ford for the BOCN you can just plug in. Otherwise you’ll need to activate the unit through FordPass or the Tesla App. No credit card tapping at Superchargers.

My Tesla "certificate" has been "pending" since I got my MME back in March, so I need to use the Tesla app when using a supercharger. I've given up on trying to make it work with the Ford Plug & Charge.

How do you know if your certificate is pending?

Contact Ford, I opened a case with them and my P&C got fixed. I called the connected services help line to get it started.

If you download the Tesla app and pay $13mo you will get a discount. You can cancel the subscription if you aren't using it and restart if needed

Plug and charge is convenient but you do not get the discounted rate

I did this! Here's my advice/experience.

On the Fourth of July weekend, we visited our daughter's family who live just over 2 hours away. I already ordered a Lectron "Vortex adapter" because Ford's hasn't arrived. There would be construction delays plus the usual holiday traffic that I knew would slow the drive down even more. On the drive home I pulled into a plaza that had a bank of Superchargers, so I unboxed the plug. On the advice of this Forum (thanks, guys) I opened my FordPass/PAAK app, too.

Tesla cables are so short that it took a couple tries to get close enough to connect the adapter to my port. As soon as I did, it started charging! FordPass confirmed the session and gave an estimated end time. Literally 10 minutes to go from 44% to 66%, added 20kWh. Ford sent an email receipt a little later ($10.07 session fee.) The only glitch was the session stopped at 10 minutes. My guess is very hot temperatures that weekend, almost 100* and hot parking lot pavement. The adapter felt pretty warm.

I admit I thought something was wrong when the charging session just started right up, but I didn't have to confirm anything or download the Tesla app. (I did install the Tesla app because I wasn't sure if the cable would release, or the session would be super expensive if I didn't.)

There you go, MessyJessie! Easy peasie!

I still have an old version of the Ford Pass on my iPad. It has a list of affiliated networks where P&C works(unfortunately -- along with so many other things -- deleted in the newest version).

Question to those who’ve done it…. I keep hearing “Tesla Supercharger”. Can we plug into any Tesla charger? If not, how do we tell which ones are compatible cause they all pretty much look identical

Go to the Tesla app, the units that will work with the MME will show up and show which ones have adapter built in.

i believe the MME will only work with version 3 and 4 . Those that have min 250 kw.

Multiple reports of Lectron adapter not liking the heat. https://a2zevshop.com/products/nacs-ccs1?ref=Typhoon&variant=43186507579592

Either setup Tesla app for your vehicle, or use the Tesla website with this link - https://www.tesla.com/findus?v=2&bo...8227675,-158.504884&zoom=3&filters=party,nacs

Only SOME of those. Some remain unavailable to us.
