I have a Hypervolt smart charger for my MME. When the sun is shining I plug n"charge from solar panels. Failing that I schedule charge overnight on the cheap rate tariff. When I switch to scheduled charging between 01:00 - 07:00 on the FordPass on my iPhone and set it to 90% the app successfully saves the times but not the power setting which stubbornly stays at 100%. I am doing something wrong but what?

Make sure that the charge settings are correct in the car. There have been times when it doesn't update the car from the app. Also, the GPS location of the car could be off whereas the car thinks that it's not at "home". Look at where the charge has happened in FordPass and verify that it says it charged at home (vehicle > charging > charge logs). If it didn't then that would be the reason.

Now set at 90% (forgot I had set 100%. in the charging times of Fordpass)

Doing something wrong?

Probably not.

I gave up ages ago on relying on the app to make any settings.

It’s just pants!

Charging - I make no charge timing or charge limit settings using the App, it never worked. Just use the ABB L2 home charge point’s settings to time my charges and I just guesstimate when to schedule a stop if I need just 90% which is not often.

Precondition settings - I never use them in the App, gave up on that which never worked, if I need to set precondition times I make them on car screen menu.

In fact, if I really need to ensure something happens I use anything but the app!
