I sometimes get the ding for red light cameras, but not always when traveling the same route.

I haven't been able to turn it off for most of 2023.

First the Connected Services list wouldn't expand. Then I couldn't find it in that list anymore so I'd disable it via one of the navigation app settings, which unfortunately turns off some other options at the same time... But after a key off, key on, it turns itself back on.

Nowadays I once again can't open the Connected Services list but I guess most of us at 6.1.0 are in that boat.
Connected services list will only expand when you see this icon on the top of your Sync screen normally:

I suggest watching the navigation screen (as a passenger). There are a slew of alerts, most of which you can turn off. They appear, and then disappear quickly. School Zone, Hill, Curves, etc.

The predictive speed alert isn't alerting unless it's a very low speed, as the message states.
Every time this has happened, I have been driving straight on level roads, at or below the speed limit, no curves, no BC, no alerts set at all, Nav screen on or Nav screen off. I've checked and double-checked all of that.

Whatever is happening, there is no alert I can see anywhere. Last week when I had five or so 2-note chimes when my wife was in the car, she wondered what it was, too. Neither of us saw anything on any screen. I'll grant that I may be missing something, but for the life of me, I don't know where else to look or what other settings to check.

If the OP is still curious about the sounds, why not record them and attach the mp3 file here so we all can hear it and chip in or ask a rear passenger to make a short video while it's happening.

For me, I get a chime sound when I temporarily block the driver camera by putting my hands near the top of the steering wheel when in Lane Assist mode. It doesn't like that very much... :)

I had this same mystery with my F150 for a while, and it turned out that it considers railroad tracks a "hazard". So any time I was near or approaching railroad tracks it would chime. I didn't realize this for months until one day I had the Nav screen open while driving and noticed the symbol on the screen next to the railroad crossing. Then I went in an had to disable hazard alerts because they were no longer helpful if it is just going to tell me about railroads.

Just a suggestion to check.

Good idea, but it happens so randomly that recording might be extremely difficult unless you get lucky and are able to catch it when it happens

How about this: Go to this site: https://www.musicca.com/piano and play a perfect fifth, for example, C to G major, or pick any white key and count up four more white keys. Play the low note first and then the high note. Play them repeatedly, C then G, C then G, etc. A different tone, but that's the sound! It will do this once, or multiple times for what appears to be no apparent reason.

This sounds much harder than just watching the screen... ? ? ? ?

Give it a try! It's easy. Your first piano lesson? ?
The only 5th I know is of Whiskey, although I don't drink it, only beer...

I don't have a tin ear, I have no ear.

OK. How about this: You know the "Ding-Dong" sound of a doorbell, right? Think "Dong-Ding." That's a perfect fifth in musical terms. That's the sound the car makes.

I finally figured out what the chime sound was: E-mail coming in! I generally have Android Auto connected, so you can't see e-mails come in when that's open, but I had it turned off for some reason and the chime sounded, accompanied by an onscreen e-mail delivery notice I had not seen previously. One two-note chime per e-mail. I'm glad to have finally put that to rest. It was driving me wacky trying to figure out what it was!

Thanks! Yes, after posting my original query just after we got our new mach-e, I've correlated some of the chiming when my phone is connected and gets notifications. I think more chimes happen than just those notifications, though, and I still haven't figured out what they're for.

For me, it's only ever happened when e-mails come in.
